Marionette has issued the following tour report:
"We started of in Copenhagen. The number of people that showed up were way above our expectations and half way through the show about 20, 30 people from a masqurade next door dropped by. If there's one thing Halloween has taught me it's that people in costumes go a bit more crazy than they usually would. The same thing happened at our show. I especially remember two girls dressed as Mia Wallace (from Pulp Fiction) dancing on a table. It didn't really feel like a metal show but it was just as much fun."
'After Copenhagen it was time for our really long drive over to the UK. We don't have our usual driver with us, instead, Robil Holgersson, one of the guitarists from Eldrimner (Alexander's other band) is driving, taking turns with Linus, Alexander and Anton. It's a bit nerve wrecking at times but so far so good." More...

, . Here's the message from Bilos:
"I am very sorry to tell this, but MALIGNANT TUMOUR can not take a part for UNITED SICKNESS FEST 3 and I tell you why. At our last tour in beginning of October our guitarist KORAL injured his hand and he can´t move with this that time. He went for doctor and got the answer that hand will be OK within the two weeks. Now it´s already three weeks after and he still can not move with his hand properly nor he can play guitar now. We feel really bad now and hopefully you can understand our situation. We thought to play as three piece, but without the leads and fourth person you will never get full attack of MT so we decided to cancell the show and wait till his hand will recover."

By many outsiders, heavy metal has been dismissed as "music for idiots," but time and time again, heavy metal bands have proved the naysayers wrong by displaying well researched and intelligent lyrics, along with complex musicianship. One of the best examples of "thinking man's heavy metal," comes from Canadian progressive thrashers, Voivod. The band was formed in the town of Jonquière, Quebec in 1982, and like many of their contemporaries, where influenced by the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, as well as hardcore punk and seventies progressive rock bands such as Yes. By fusing these influences, Voivod forged their own brand of heavy metal, which would satisfy the average headbanger, as well as any music critic. The band were also known for adopting aliases. Lead singer Denis Belanger became known as, "Snake," guitarist Denis D'Amour went by the name, "Piggy," drummer and band artist Michel Langevin used the moniker, "Away" and bassist Jean-Yves Theriault named himself, "Blacky." The group released their first studio album, "War And Pain" in 1984, which followed a more speed metal style than future releases.
Their second album, "Rrröööaaarrr" featured a speed metal theme once again before the band began incorporating their love of progressive rock with their next album, "Killing Technology." The album earned the band a spot as one of the more unique young metal bands, and the group continued this path with their next album, "Dimension Hatross," which has become one of their most acclaimed albums to date and featured the staple song, "Tribal Convictions," as well as a comical cover of the 1960's Batman television show theme song. Their next album, "Nothingface," saw the band break through into the mainstream somewhat, as it became their first album to enter the Billboard charts and featured a minor hit in the form of the band's cover of the Pink Floyd song, "Astronomy Domine." Not only was it successful in terms of sales, but it gained universal praise for it's musicianship and songwriting prowess. More...

Now with that being said we are on the hunt for a new bassist and a second guitar player. We need people who are open minded and full of creativity. Would be nice if you have show experience. Need to have your own professional gear and transportation to and from practice and shows. We practice at the playroom in Charlotte NC. So we have rent to pay. So with that being said we all have to split the band rent as well. We are using seven string guitars . Would like for you to be technical and solid in your playing but also willing to have a lot of fun with it. Why else do we do this right. Hit us up if you are interested and let's get this going cause we ain't planning on slowing down for long."

Brit tech-death band, The Boy Will Drown, is currently on a headlining tour through Europe and has posted an update from the road.
"Level 1 complete! We've played some wicked shows up and down the UK from London to Edinburgh and met some awesome and memorable people. Grimsby in particular was perhaps one of the most surreal experiences when we met someone who had the TBWD 'Fetish' album artwork tattooed on his upper arm (viewable on our Tumblr page) which gave us very much a proud feeling.
"In addition, The Boy Will Drown are pleased to announce that Ryan Mason (www.ryanmasonimaging.com) will be joining the band on tour around Europe over the next ten days. Ryan, a freelance professional photographer based in Norwich, will be documenting the tour with video and photo footage, as well as being the band's bitch by providing the band with other 'services'! The 24-year old, who has recently worked with the likes of Paramore, Cancer Bats and photographed at both Download and Reading festivals, thought the next best step to further his career would clearly be to document The Boy Will Drown on tour!"
