Blacktop Mojo Posts Aerosmith Cover

Southern hard rock band Blacktop Mojo has released a music video for the band's cover of Aerosmith classic hit "Dream On." The video was filmed by Nolan Cox of Nolan Taylor Media in Palestine, TX at Audioworx Studio.

The track, which was produced by Philip Mosley and mixed by Austin Deptula at Rosewood Studios, comes from the band's upcoming sophomore album "Burn The Ships," due to release in early 2017. Nathan Gillis from Blacktop Mojo comments:

"A close friend of ours suggested we do it, and was adamant that he knew it would turn out great... We asked our producer what he thought and he basically said 'Well it wouldn't hurt to try it out.' After that we learned it, went to the studio and put it down. Listening back we were pretty surprised that it even came out decent...

"We showed it to a small group of friends and they all said they got chill bumps. At that point we were comfortable enough that we at least hadn't shamed the song or Aerosmith (who we have a ton of respect for, obviously), so still with a little hesitation we released it. Since then, we've been shocked and overwhelmed by the awesome response." More...

Hour Of 13 Regrouping

Following the band's breakup back in 2013, Hour Of 13 is now regrouping and has signed a deal with Shadow Kingdom Records. The label will present a long-overdue demos & rarities collection titled "Salt The Dead: The Rare And Unreleased." Hour Of 13 also issued this statement:

"2006 was an immense year for influence and creation. A simple session of writing spawned three songs that paved the way for a debut album destined to return American Heavy Metal back to the forefront of the underground Metal scene.

"And with the release came a quick acclaim, building up a following that the entity itself never saw coming. Throughout its lifespan, Hour Of 13 has seen its' fair share of ups and downs. Not ever really existing in the other classes of bands within it's scene, it paved a path of Darkness and gloom that solidified its place within the tops of the genre.

"All that rise must fall... Due to a professional ordeal that was both good and bad, along with the passing of some of it's closest friends, the idea to lay it to rest until the right time was evident and heeded. Coupled with all of the problems, departures and returns, backlash and all around trash talk, the ideals were continued under the Night Magic name. The slumber for Ho13 in its' name
had been thought to be eternal. Forever. More...
