Deep Purple Shares New Music Video "7 And 7 Is"

With strong tailwind from last year’s chart leading album "Whoosh!," Deep Purple surprises with new album "Turning To Crime," produced by Bob Ezrin.

"Turning To Crime" arrives only 15 months after "Whoosh!" - Deep Purple’s 21st studio album, which received acclaim by critics who praised the creative strength of a band that continues evolving with every release, and prestigious chart achievements (3rd consecutive #1 in Germany, #4 in the UK, and topped the US Independent Album and Hard Music Albums charts).

This new release is Deep Purple’s first album of tracks that weren’t written by the band; a collection of songs previously recorded by other artists. The first single, "7 And 7 Is," is available for streaming below, along with a trailer for the "making of" documentary, "Locked Up."

"Turning To Crime" continues the creative trajectory set in motion with Deep Purple’s “time trilogy”, consisting of "NOW What?!" (2013), "inFinite" (2017), and "Whoosh!." Each produced by Bob Ezrin, these albums sold over 1 million copies, topped the charts 11 times, and garnered more than 40 Top 10 positions worldwide. More...

Avatar Postpones Remaining U.S. Tour Dates

Swedish heavy metal veterans Avatar has announced that they have been forced to postpone the remainder of their across the United States, after singer Johannes Eckerström tested positive for COVID-19. A statement from the band reads as follows:

"We are very sorry to announce that the remaining dates of the Going Hunting tour are postponed. Johannes has tested positive for COVID-19. He is fully vaccinated, feels fine under the circumstances, and expects a full recovery shortly. Sadly, this will not be in time to make the remaining shows happen. We are already working on solutions to make the dates at a later time. We are looking into routing around our dates in January at Shiprocked, so please stay tuned for that!

"We made a point to not see friends, fans, or anyone outside our bubble on this run in order to minimize the risks. We thank everyone who helped make this tour as safe as possible. It's amazing that we made it this far and that was a team effort.

"This is just a bump in the road and we WILL see you all very, very soon! Be good to yourselves. Take care of each other."

Unleashed Posts New Lyric Video Online

Just recently, Swedish death metal legends Unleashed announced their new studio album, "No Sign of Life," along with the release of their first single, "The King Lost His Crown." Now, the Einherjar legions of Asgard return with their second single, "Where Can You Flee?," offering another uncompromising musical weapon that transfers Viking values and traditions into modernity.

"Where Can You Flee?" offers hard guitar riffs, blasting drums and rough growls full of anger. The track unravels as an unstoppable war battalion that causes its listeners to lapse into a raving madness and builds up upon Unleashed’s well-established trademark sound of true death metal!

Johnny on the new single:
"The Midgard Warriors will never forget nor forgive, the atrocities that occured in Svithiod as the armies of White Christ burned village after village, raped and killed women and children on their way as they fled. Now, as the once so holy city of Jorsala has fallen, the Midgard Warriors pressed on in persecution of those responsible, and the hunt continues into the great Sinai peninsula. Whatever sacred mission lay behind it all, the Midgard Warriors are determined to find the answers. So 'Where can you flee?' Where can you go?" More...

Infected Rain Reveals New Album Details

Moldovan progressive modern metal unit, Infected Rain, have become one of the most exciting new acts in the heavy music world, with charismatic, multi-talented frontwoman Lena Scissorhands emerging as one of the fastest-rising leading ladies of the genre. Now, the band arises from the dark depths once again - freshly off their very first tour of the USA with Butcher Babies and Stitched Up Heart - to reveal the next chapter of their metamorphosis. The band will release their otherworldly fifth album, "Ecdysis," on January 7 via Napalm Records.

Infected Rain redefine themselves with the follow up to 2019’s "Endorphin." "Ecdysis" electrifies with resonating riffs, cosmic electronics, Lena’s treasure trove of vocal abilities and intense lyrical themes ranging from depression and abandonment to embracing reality - showcasing the band’s advancement while blending extreme, progressive groove with dark, haunting melody.

Today, fans can get a first taste of "Ecdysis" by witnessing the brand new single, "Postmortem Pt. 1," and its cerebral music video. The potent track dispenses the band’s patented formula instantly, with eerie synth-laden soundscapes seamlessly cascading into countless layers of cosmic atmosphere backed by thick, grooving riffs, barreling drums and skyscraper growls.

Frontwoman Lena Scissorhands says about "Postmortem Pt. 1": "'Postmortem' is about the constant search. The never happy, never content… Blind to the real treasures of life, we constantly want more and more…"
