True Widow Releases New Video

True Widow, which released fourth album "Avvolgere" in late September, today premieres a video for “F.W.T.S: L.T.M” as the Dallas trio kicks off a North American tour this evening at Last Exit in Phoenix, Arizona.

“Once again we've joined forces with our good friend Mats Eks,” said the band. “This is the fourth video he's done for us and in our opinion it's easily his most ambitious. Shot in Dallas and Terlingua, Texas, Big Bend National Park, Mexico, Sweden and Norway, the images Mats used make the song feel more epic than we could have imagined. We’re honored to have someone like him in our corner when it comes to creating visuals for the sounds. He's an artist, gentleman, and doggedly determined.” More...

Langfinger Releases New Video

Gothenburg power trio Langfinger issued the "Crossyears" full-length album via Small Stone late last month.

The ten-track offering was recorded by Johan Reivén and Olle Björck at Sweden's Welfare Sounds Studio, with additional recordings by Lanfginger at Beduin HQ, mixed by Olle Björck, and mastered by Daniel Johansson.

In celebration of its release, today a brand new video for the track "Fox Confessor" has come online and can be seen below. Elaborates the band of the clip:

"'Fox Confessor' is the first collaboration between Langfinger and cinematographer Anders Bryngel. We were exploring the idea of working together for some years and with the new album looming, it was more appropriate than ever. One day we devised a syndicate. We then determined that the effort should be focused on a narrative and as the storyline progressed we let it evolve naturally with the group's dynamic.

"A spontaneous process driven by our collective efforts. As for the actual song, which like many of our songs, established itself as an instrumental; was inspired by our favorite Krautrock bands from the late sixties. That was before spending some time in rural Argentina. The lyrics began as rough scribbles, and in the attempt to characterize the broad landscape, which seemed to encompass most of the days spent there, a sort of comic relief broke out into lyric." Famous Last Words Recounts Final Days Of Tour

Following last week's tour diary, Famous Last Words has again checked from the road to let us know all about the last few shows of a just-finished tour alongside Alesana and Oh, Sleeper.

Check out part 2 below, along with some more killer show photos from Justin Conant:

"The 'Ten Frail Years Of Vanity And Wax' tour has officially come to an end. It actually sort of ended over the course of two nights.

"The first 'last show' was at Sidewinder in Austin Texas. The show was killer and we all stormed the stage during Alesana's set as a little end of tour prank/ tradition. Unfortunately Oh, Sleeper and Two O' Clock Courage had to drop off after this show before the tour headed to GA.

"Both bands were made up of amazing dudes and musicians. After the show we all went out to a bar to celebrate and say our goodbyes. It was even more of a celebration because we got our first week sales back that day and found out that our new album, 'The Incubus' charted on Billboard.com.

"The actual last night of the tour was equally as fun. We played The Masquerade in Atlanta Georgia. Not only was it the last show of the tour, but also probably the last time we will play The Masquerade in its old location.

"It was a killer last hoorah though because the kids went absolutely nuts. The energy was unreal and we felt privileged to be sent off by such a great crowd. They were so awesome that we even forgive them for dropping TyTy when he stage dove. After the show, we said our goodbyes to the dudes in Alesana. It was truly a sad day because this really was one of the most fun and relaxed tours we have ever been on. More...

Original ESP 400 Series Strat from the mid 80's with a classic 'V' neck featuring a maple board with 22 frets, which was set up and modified with amazing Seymour Duncan Hot Rails pick up on the bridge by my great friend and musician Roger Manzo, and it was custom painted into a white finish with blood splatter by my brother and our bass player Primer. And the perfection was completed by beautiful DR Red Devils Strings. A truly fine guitar that has the tone, feel and the look..." More...

Seeker Unveils Full New Album

Seeker has returned after three years with new album "Loss" and the Texas trio is now premiering the full album a day ahead of its release.

“I wanted everything about the album to be faster, darker, more evil, more raw, and way more honest that anything I have ever done,” admits vocalist/bassist Bryce Lucien. “This is a new life for Seeker, and this album is a massive step forward for us as players and songwriters. Anyone expecting something like 2013’s Unloved or our other past work will be severely disappointed. We finally let ourselves really go for it and try everything we’d ever wanted to do musically.”

Guitarist Andy Torres adds, "Writing this album was like a long, hard fought battle. We didn't know if it was even going to happen, so finally getting to the release of Loss is a huge deal for me. I'm ready to finally start playing these songs live. We've been practicing constantly for our upcoming tours and things are sounding great, and we can't wait for everyone to hear the album."

New album "Loss" will be performed in its entirety as Seeker’s first tour behind the album kicks off this Saturday with The Last Ten Seconds Of Life, Traitors and Spite. The October/November trek includes festival stops at So What in Dallas and Texas Revolution in Austin. December headlining dates will be announced very soon. More...

Evil Drive Issues "Anti-Genocide" Video

The new song is taken from the still untitled upcoming second album to be released via Mighty Music worldwide in early 2017.

Recorded, mixed and mastered at Äänilaitos studio in Kotka with Juuso Elminen (Domination Black), "Anti-Genocide" presents Evil Drive’s melodic metal reinforced by Viktoria Viren’s over-the-top growling with one of the tightest guitar sections in the scene. Viktoria Viren comments: "'Anti-Genocide' has a totally different theme and feeling compared to our debut album 'The Land of the Dead,' which was all about the current world politics and war.

"The new track is about the history of the American Indians and about the fate they had to face when the white men came and took over their land."

"Anti-Genocide” also presents the bands updated line-up which now features guitarist Juha-Pekka “J-P” Pusa who recently replaced the band’s original guitarist Niko Huusari. Ville Wiren comments: “The new line-up makes the band sound better than ever. J-P definitely brings us a lot of new energy and ideas and helps the band to find ac ompletely new level. We've finally found ourselves, our musical style and finally have access to all the musical tools we've ever wanted: strong growling vocals, two great guitarists, and a great rhythm section. We trust that our upcoming album will be a turning point for Evil Drive, and we are excited to be with Mighty Music for this new chapter."
