Stereokiller has presented the premiere of "Rudy x 3," another slice of "Danza IIII: The Alpha - The Omega," the forthcoming new album by The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza. Check out the song right here. The following press release was also issued:
"Bursting with all the groove, chops, ambience, and heaviness that have made Danza a household name, 'Rudy x 3' is a sneak peek at what's in store for fans when Danza IIII drops, October 23 on Black Market Activities.
"Danza IIII (think tally marks, not Roman numerals) heralds the end of Danza's decade-long tenure, during which time the Tennessee band have released three other albums, toured with the likes of The Acacia Strain, Suicide Silence, Cattle Decapitation, and Misery Index, and inspired countless younger bands. The Danza IIII lineup consists solely of core members Jessie Freeland and Josh Travis -- with Freeland on vocals, Travis (now a member of Glass Cloud) is responsible for all other instrumentation on the album. The result: the most musical and bloodlettingly honest work to ever bear the Danza name.
"Danza IIII was engineered and mixed by Nicholas Scott (Miss May I). The artwork was created by Michael J. Windsor, known for his work with The Red Chord and Pig Destroyer, and for his book covers for bestsellers like The Da Vinci Code and Darkly Dreaming Dexter." More...
Common Dead has started recording new material just months after the release of the rawly produced "Diatribe" (reviewed here) in early 2012.
The preemptive return to the studio is the result of an absence of touring as of late, as sole member Andrew Laurenson is currently dedicated to assembling a full group for live performances, having left behind the one-man-live element of Common Dead's early days.
"When people go to a metal show, they want the instruments on display. The instruments are live on my albums, so they should be live in person, and do justice to the music," explained the band founder. "Until I can provide that, with a set of musicians, and take the band other places, I'm putting the PA thing behind me. It was fine for bars and basement gigs, but you shoot for anything higher, it just looks novelty."
On the recording side, the material is coming along more fluidly. While keeping true to its thrashy backdrop, the new vocals of Common Dead will reportedly "offer a progression in pitches and harmony with a balance for the ruggedness on Diatribe."
Andrew adds: "Two songs into the next album and I'm already excited as hell for their release. More than anything before. The vocals are starting to catch with variety, that hit closer to Anselmo and Flynn and Cavalera, my influences. I keep pushing the limits and each time I'm thinking, 'damnit, I wish I was doing it this way when I started'. There will be a modern influence on this album, in terms of more abstract lyrics, and more of a classic approach to the bar structure."

"For I Am Genocide" is the follow-up to the 2009 release "The Age of Recreation." Comatose Music comments:
"Mass Infection hails from Greece and have crushed skulls with their unique brutality since 2003. They have certainly proven to be a dominant force with their skillful and technical style of catchy death metal. Mass Infection is strongly influenced by bands like Deeds of Flesh, Hate Eternal and Severe Torture… so you can expect a blistering assault of barbaric music. Stayed tuned for more details and a new preview MP3!" More...
This coming February, No Dawn will travel to Parma in Italy to record a debut album. WormHoleDeath will unleash the album world-wide through Aural Music Group in early 2013. No Dawn comments:
“We are very happy to share the news of being signed with WormHoleDeath! This being our first record deal ever, we are totally confident with the aggreement and the people involved. In short, No Dawn will push the envelope further together with WormHoleDeath!”
WormHoleDeath also added: “It is just great to be working with the Norwegian bands since they are all so professional, passionate and experienced. No Dawn is one of these! I met these guys in Rome few months ago and I really loved their attitude and I understood how they were working hard on their project, so I decided to sign them. They already toured with big names like Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under and Master, as these bands wanted No dawn to support them. The songs are just fantastic… We have all the elements to make a great album here. Please support this band, you will hear a lot from them!”
The following biography was also issued about the band:
"No Dawn hails from Steinkjer, in the middle parts of Norway. Formed back in 2002, as a thrash metal project. The band sounds quite different today opposed to the beginning, going from extreme thrash to being a more brutal and technical death metal act. The band has more and more frequently entered the stage and toured with bands like Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under and Master."
The next chapter in Relapse's Death reissue campaign will be the "Spiritual Healing" album. The label comments:
"Originally released in 1990, Spiritual Healing marked a new turn in the Death discography, one which ushered in cleaner production, a new level of boundary pushing musicianship and songwriting skills that were previously unimaginable from a metal band. Spiritual Healing sets the standard for riffs, insane time changes and of course mainman Chuck Schuldiner’s masterful guitar solos.
"Now reissued as a double CD housed in super deluxe packaging featuring brand new liner notes from Death players James Murphy and Terry Butler, Chuck’s sister Beth Schuldiner and Volbeat frontman Michael Poulsen, Disc 1 features a completely new remaster of the original album and Disc 2 contains 16 previously unreleased rehearsal, outtakes and studio instrumentals. A remastered version of the track “Living Monstrosity” can be heard below.
"In addition to the 2-Disc edition, limited edition (2000 machine numbered copies) triple CD digipak will be available exclusively from Relapse.com. The third CD features a never before released live set recorded in 1990 featuring the Spiritual Healing Death line up. An iTunes deluxe edition will also be released containing 5 additional previously unreleased pre-Human rehearsal tracks not available on either of the CD versions. The entire tracklisting is available below." More...

Band founder and front man Vincent Crowley commented on the signing by saying: “Acheron has been a thriving entity for many years now. We never got a proper push from any of our past labels to get to the next level. The band has received a lot of interest within the last year. When Listenable Records talked with me about signing Acheron I was indeed interested. The reason being is that he was a fan of Acheron a long time ago. "We have found our niche and have no reason to stray, so if you liked our first release you will like 'It All Fades' as well.
