Nightwish Announces New Live Album

It’s Sunday, September 30th 2018. In a couple of hours’ time, symphonic metal trailblazers NIGHTWISH will unleash their unique "Decades" show on the huge stage of the Estadio Malvinas in Buenos Aires. And once again, they will be setting aflame the hearts of thousands of dedicated fans. Released back in 2018, Decades was so much more than a run-of-the-mill best-of. This comprehensive chronology of the band’s first two decades not only marked the band’s 20th anniversary; it was also the end of yet another era in the stellar career of Finland’s internationally most successful group. The consequent tour, too, was so much more than a regular anniversary run; from March 9th to December 15th 2018, the seventh Nightwish world tour enthralled 82 cities across Europe, North America and South America – armed with a once-in-a-lifetime setlist.

Enter the stage "Decades: Live In Buenos Aires!" The divine new live release from Finland’s finest was captured by 19 cameras on that extraordinary night in Argentina. Nightwish came out to the rousing "End Of All Hope" and took their bow to the unmatched epic "Ghost Love Score." In between saw a set filled with pure trailblazing Finnish glory - incorporating distinguished tracks "Wish I had an Angel," "Sacrament of Wilderness," "Elvenpath," "Devil & the Deep Dark Ocean," "Dead Boy’s Poem" and many more… The evening saw countless goose bumps and unforgettable scenes – the definition of an unforgettable night, now documented for all eternity. Dope Singer Denies Fronting Static X

Dope front-man Edsel Dope, in the midst of a flurry of online speculation, has broken his silence to address the claims of photographic evidence attempting to prove his role as the masked vocalist, named Xer0, on the current Static-X Wisconsin Death Trip 20th Anniversary Tour / Memorial for Wayne Static.

"Hello world.

"I have quietly sat through all of this speculation and have thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Yesterday’s internet eruption reminded me of an episode of Scooby-Doo. It’s incredible how far some people will go to get attention or clicks, so let me remind you how easy it is to slap a little tribal neck tattoo onto someone in photoshop.

"I’m honored for myself and for my band DOPE to be part of this 20th anniversary celebration, along with this unbelievable, traveling memorial to our old friend Wayne Static. Wayne is currently on the minds and in the hearts of the metal community in a very unique and special way. His memory / legacy is more celebrated than it has ever been before. I personally get to see the joy, the tears, and the incredible sense of healing that is occurring on the faces and in the hearts of Static-X fans, each and every night, around the world.

"I’m not attempting to be a spokesperson for Static-X, but I will share that I have personally met Wayne’s parents and siblings, as they have attended a number of these shows. I have personally seen their tears of joy and their expressions of gratitude and approval for the way that Tony, Ken, Koichi, & Xer0 are celebrating the music and memorializing the life and legacy of their son and sibling, Wayne Wells Static.

"I’m including a candid photo that I snapped of Static-X drummer Ken Jay embracing Wayne’s father, while Tony Campos, Wayne’s mother, Wayne’s siblings and friends share some personal time together. Words cannot express the love and respect that I’ve experienced out here. More...

Une Misère Posts Second Single Online

Icelandic wrecking crew, Une Misère, are set to unleash their full-length debut, "Sermon," upon the world on November 1st, 2019 via Nuclear Blast Records. Today, the band releases the official music video for their second single, 'Failures'. The making of the video was a family affair, with guitarist Gunnar Ingi Jones handling the directing. A special thanks should be mentioned for Kex Hostel and all the kids who helped make the video. Watch "Failures" below.

Jón Már Ásbjörnsson comments, "'Failures' is about my journey off of drugs. The realization, the sobering up, the withdrawals and the self loathing it brought with it. It's a song of anger and of regret but as it breaks down, it becomes this release that one needs. It keeps me sober. The song goes out to the straight edge kids out there." More...

Jinjer Posts New Music Video Online

Ukrainian modern metal frontrunners Jinjer have returned with a vengeance! Today, Jinjer turns heads with a new music video for the gut-punching anthem “On The Top”. Never failing to deliver an unforgettable hook, “On The Top” slinks along a punishing groove before soaring into melodic passages – just another example of what listeners can expect to be met with on the band’s upcoming full-length album, Macro, out October 25, 2019 via Napalm Records.

“While one is climbing, the rest is falling down in the name of profit –
Is it lonely on the top?”

Jinjer says about “On The Top”:

"Have you ever felt like a rat in a rat race? It seems like the world is spinning faster and faster every single day and everyone is going crazy searching for this thing called success. However, we tend to forget that real happiness has nothing to do with it- not a career, achievements, money etc. Is it really worth climbing up the ladder just to be ON to the TOP if there is nothing or no one there for you in the end? It's OK to want to be the best you can possibly be but just remember that success has its price but it's up to you to decide how much you are willing to pay for it. It’s your choice to make but your burden to bare …" More...
