The Canadian metal outfit STARRING JANET LEIGH has just unleashed a brand new music video for the track "Ex You." The track "Ex You" is off their Ironclad Recordings debut, "Spectrum," which just came out May 12, 2009 to rave reviews from metalheads and critics alike. You can check out the new video below.
Here's what guitarist Matt Zadkovich had to say about the video for Ex You: "We wanted Ex You to be our first video because felt it to be a short & sweet, honest, in your face representation of the band and the album. It was filmed in our dank hole of a jam space, which we felt was perfect for the shoot to show who SJL is and what we're all about it. We wanted the video to showcase how the live experience with SJL is, shooting in a place we're all too familiar with. It was filmed over the course of 3 days with our good friend Mike Molloy from Static Studios here in Toronto. Mike's input on this video was invaluable and we're stoked to release it. Enjoy!"

BARONESS’ John Baizley has announced the details for his first solo art exhibit. Presented by Metropolis Gallery in Lancaster, PA, this event will run through the month of November and for the first time contain original works available for sale. The opening reception will be held Friday, November 6th at the Metropolis Gallery. Additional details can be found here.
Baizley has created the artwork for all of BARONESS’ releases in addition to other classic albums such as PIG DESTROYER’s Phantom Limb and TORCHE’s In Return. The most recent release to feature his artwork is I Told You I Was Freaky by HBO’s Flight Of The Conchords. The few available prints John has made, most culled from album art, or specially made tour-only posters have all been hopelessly sold out, resulting in a fanatic fanbase competing for the precious available works on sites such as ExpressoBeans.com - putting John in the same rabid collector conversation as Shepard Fairey, Emek, and others. To view samples of Baizley’s artwork, please visit MySpace.com/JohnDyerBaizley.

Typically we think of female-fronted bands as being European, but like their varied music style, Echoes of Eternity doesn’t get pigeon-holed by tradition. This California based act that mixes thrash with symphonic and mainstream metal is spreading their wings with their second release, "As Shadows Burn." I recently talked with lead singer Francine Boucher about the new album, and discovered that though she is the main lyricist for the band, she’s actually a woman of few words, laced with a heavy dose of sarcasm and wit.
