Steelwing has issued the following update about joining Accept on tour and posting a blog online detailing the band's shows with Sabaton last year:
"Last week we assembled our lazy asses to the first rehearsal for the upcoming Accept tour. Since we'll be playing a lot of cities for the third time in just a few months we have decided to give our loyal fans a special treat: we're going to play a couple of songs we've never played live before! If you're lucky, that might even include something from our upcoming second album... Come see us, make your way to the front row and bang your heads like there's no tomorrow and you'll find out!
"At last, MySpace seems to have worked out the bugs in their blog editor, so again you will be able to follow my tour blog here. Meanwhile, here's some stuff from the Sabaton tour last year that never got published due to the MySpace fuck up."
Sweden's Slodust has issued the following brief update about the band's current recording progress:
"Hey everybody! Just wanted to give update on the studio. Drums are DONE!! Ersson is recording tomorrow, and then its Elias turn. Everything is going according to plan (almost anyways). Cant wait for you guys to listen to it."
You can also hear sample Slodust tracks available for streaming via the band's MySpace page.
Canada's Hoarfrost parted ways with guitarist Brett Goodchild in May of last year. The band has now checked in with the following brief update about recruiting a new guitar player:
"Hoarfrost is very pleased to officially welcome our new guitarist Darcy to the band. We have shows in the works for spring, all new material written for our debut full length and t-shirts are in the works for our return to the stage. Hails from the River City! Hails to the Frost Legion!"
You can also check out Hoarfrost's music via the band's MySpace profile.
Vocalist Luna of Holy Grail has issued the following statement about the band's upcoming tour with Eluveitie and 3 Inches of Blood:
"We’re really excited to tour with Eluveitie and 3 Inches Of Blood, our last tours with both these bands were a complete blast and we really hit it off well! It’s like touring with family. Can’t wait to hit the road! This package is perfect, we have a great balance of melodic heavy metal bands with brutal riffs and wild live energy across the board! I’m also looking forward to check out System Divide!"
Eluveitie also added: "We ourselves can add that we had a great time with the guys of Holy Grail on our last run together with Amon Amarth and we are looking forward to this one! On another note we have received questions about the lack of VIP-Tickets for this tour, as they seem to be very popular these days. The answer to this is simple: We checked out offerings of other tours, we have considered it, and we have decided that you can get most of it on any Eluveitie show already but we do not think that we should be charging you money for it. Fan contact has always been (and will always be) a big part of what we are and as always we will be hanging out after the show to chat, take pictures, get drunk (occasionally..), and sign whatever the hell you would like to have signed.
"In fact free posters and autograph cards will be available at the merch booth this time (while stocks last of course). And since we’re traveling in a big ass tour bus it’s really not that hard to find us if you feel the urge to say hi during the day! So while we will probably offer 200$-plus tickets just like anybody else if we ever become a stadium band all you need to do for now is to keep your eyes open, and don't be shy."

Coldworker has checked in with the following update about recording bass tracks for the band's upcoming album:
"The second day of bass tracking is done. We started yesterday at 'A Noble Home' which is Anders J's apartment. This time we are using my SansAmp and record both the clean signal as well as a distorted one from the SansAmp. As always I use my Ibanez SR500, the same bass I used for 'Rotting Paradise.' I got six of fourteen songs tracked so far, and aiming for one more tomorrow morning.
"The pace of how many and which songs I'm able to track is depending on Anders B and Daniel, who are tracking guitars at a different location (not far from here though). The songs they track are given to me the same evening and then I struggle with them the next coming day. Today I finished one easy and two hard ones, yesterday I think it was two easy and one that was a more difficult. So it's been a nice mix between the easy and the not so easy songs this far.
"But the overall feeling is good. We got the drums on mp3's as soon as they were recorded, and I think they have been really useful when it comes to practicing and preparing at home prior to this recording. We have avoided every (if any) speculative unpleasant surprises this way."
Photos from the recording session can also be found at this location.
