Satariel has issued the following announcement about the return of former guitarist Mikael Granqvist:
"Satariel welcome guitarist and founding member Mikael Granqvist back in the band. When Mike decided to quit after recording the Chifra EP, we lost an important creative force and also a big part of the Satariel spirit. It isn't an overstatement to say that much of our drive and resolve vanished - to some extent leading us into the long hiatus we've only just recently recovered from. Therefore, we're really happy that circumstances changed and Mike wanted back in. Fuck yeah!
"We'd also like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Simon Johansson who stepped up when Mike left. Even though not much happened during the years he was a member (sorry...), it was a great feeling having him at our side. Hopefully, he'll still put down some awesome guitar solos as a session member on the forthcoming White Ink, like he did on our last couple of albums. You rule, Simon!"
A sneak peak of the band's "White Ink" album is also available online here.
Dallas, Texas based act Seeker (featuring ex members of The Handshake Murders) has posted another new track online titled "The Antagonist." Check out the song in the player below, or find more details on Seeker via Facebook.

Produced by the band itself, Chris Eck and co-production/mix by Daniel Castleman (AS I LAY DYING) the music was not written with the intent of impressing anyone except the band members themselves. "Our state of mind was-- let's play what we want to hear," says vocalist Greg Wilburn. "Let's write the heaviest, grooviest and ugliest songs we possibly can, and bring something fresh to this extremely watered down scene. If people 'get it' awesome... if not, fuck em."
Pre-orders for Devil's Messenger are currently available through CMDistro.com, including an exclusive t-shirt and album combo package that can be purchased here. The Devastated also has the following upcoming tour dates:

Commented the band, “‘Acid Mist Tomorrow’ is the opening song of our new album, an album which has confirmed our idea of music, our way of considering it and our way of writing it. This song is, for us, the most representative of our style and displays the evolution since Des Deux L’une Est L’autre. Demon Hunter has issued the following announcement about finishing working on a new album:
“This record is without a doubt our most aggressive. Every Demon Hunter record must be a step up from the last. I know that’s a goal for every band, but it seldom works that way - especially today, especially in metal. It seems like most bands’ prime years are long behind them. I refuse to let that be the case for us.
“We’ve been extremely underwhelmed with metal for the last five years or so, and that’s been the fuel to create this record. With an extreme over-saturation of false, fleeting, trend-hopping noise in today’s metal scene, we had to make something we’ve been longing to hear. Something truly meaningful and artistic. Something our fans would love and something that will turn the heads of those who have ignored us for the past decade.”
The new Demon Hunter album sees the band returning to producer Aaron Sprinkle (Anberlin, Emery) and mixer Jason Suecoff (All That Remains, Trivium) with a collection of songs emphasizing the band’s strongest components: true metal, dark rock and balladry.
Ryan Clark, Tim “Yogi” Watts (drums), Jonathan Dunn (bass) and Patrick Judge (lead guitar) are now joined by their longtime friend Jeremiah Scott (guitar), whose credits as a metal musician (The Showdown) and producer (Living Sacrifice) are well established.
Demon Hunter has already lined up live dates for 2012, which include:
APRIL 27 - SEATTLE, WA @ EL CORAZON
APRIL 30 - KOUVOLA, FINLAND @ VAPPUGOSPEL
The new Demon Hunter album is tentatively scheduled for an April release through longtime label home Solid State.

"During the last weeks we came up together to this point. In respect to everyone's privacy we will not discuss the reason for this choice, we just wish Matteo all the love and good luck for everything.
"We are currently looking for a new drummer, to apply please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org - We'll keep you updated!"

The Carrier has announced that the band is officially calling it a day. The following statement was posted online:
"We saw that there were some rumors floating around about us, and figured that now is probably the best time to clear the air.
"It's with very mixed emotions that we announce that The Carrier will be breaking up this upcoming March. There are a lot of reasons that have led us to this decision, and it wasn't an easy one. But ultimately, we all share a mutual feeling that we're transitioning into different chapters in our lives—personally and musically. The overall mood of the band has changed profoundly since we first started, and frankly, we can't continue to put forth the passion that we once had. More...
Blkheart Group recording artist Molotov Solution has announced that founding member and guitarist Robbie Pina and the band have parted ways. U.S. power metal band Blood Redskies, launched by former Vicious Rumors singer Ronnie Stixx, has signed with Pure Steel Records. The band's debut album, "Conquistador", targeted for a March 2012 release. The band will tour Europe following the release.
The band obtained the deal through the self-released CD "Sign of the Jackal." The musical direction of Blood Redskies in the vein of Saxon, Helloween and Primal Fear.
Stixx had the following comments on the band and new material: "As the Blood RedSkies demo, Breaking The Spell, continues to be well received and the debut album being tracked, I felt that having both Dave and Sandy in BRS would be a perfect fit for the band, with Sandy playing intensity and showmanship on bass, as well as Dave's killer playing. I feel that Blood RedSkies can finally press forward with a killer record and great live performances.
All the music has already been written with most of it in the tracking stage, the album will have 10 songs on it and we think about bonus tracks. We feel that people will really dig the album...more details will follow soon in the next few weeks."
The current lineup for Blood Redskies is:
Ronnie Stixx (xx-Vicious Rumors) (Vocals/Guitars)
Dave Watson (ex-Death Riders/Mother Mercy/Resistance) (Guitars)
Sandy K Vasquez (ex-Death Riders/Blood lust/Last Rites) (Bass)
Craig Farmer (Ex-Divine Ruins) (Drums)

Finnish band Apocalyptica announced that show dates previously scheduled for Brazil and Chile have been cancelled due to issues with the promoter. In a New Year update, the band stated:
"A Happy New Year to all of you! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas time with your friends and family as well as a blasting night to start 2012!
"We are super excited to start our Latin American tour in a few days. It has been years since we met all of you in this part of the world... Unfortunately within the last weeks we faced many difficulties with the concert promoter who was hired to do the shows in Chile and Brazil. Since weeks he ignored our team, which now ends in not even knowing venue addresses in Brazil.
"All this costs us a lot of money we will now lose. And since we cannot guarantee a show as of today we need to cancel both, the planned shows in Brazil and Chile.
"We cannot say whether tickets will be reimbursed or not since the promoter is not speaking to us for days now. Please check with your local ticket office.
"We are very disappointed about this news. But we will work hard now to reschedule concerts in Brazil and Chile as soon as possible - with different people promoting the shows!
"Some of you have purchased VIP tickets for the shows via our Pledge campaign for the photo book. You will receive a personal e-mail. Please look out for this.
"All others, who are not effected by the cancellation we are looking forward to see you all very very soon!"
