Chilean outfit Ratzinger has revealed the cover artwork for the "Dios?" album, which can be seen below. The band comments:
"The new album is based conceptually on the book by Stephen Hawking - The Grand Design - and questioning the existence of God as such, a concept that challenges the possibility that not necessarily need a God invocation for the creation of the Universe, in summary the album and the lyrics, takes the concept of GOD from several points of view: God after death, God in the abusive nature of the Church, GOD in War, GOD in death of innocents, GOD in radicalization of religion, God as a random virus that punishes and at the same time is absent.” We also experience the non-existent and questionable in modern a time, which certainly leads many into questioning one’s self about the meaning of the existence and basic and elemental question: Does God exist?"
The cover artwork was created by Russian artist Keerych Luminokaya, and Ratzinger comments: “For us, it is an honor to work with Luminokaya, we've known Luminokaya for a while now and we are a fan of his work. When we saw the original graphic piece called ‘Butterfly Effect’, we thought that was what definitely what we were looking for, for a long time the human being reflected in a tribal basic concept, the lost humanity looking at the sky, the infinite repetition from the basic and elementary answer, the question is repeated: Does God exist?"
Luminokaya also adds: "I've been very involved with this Chilean band, I have seen that they are very persevering and disciplined, which is not very common nowadays and that speaks highly of the work they want to achieve. Even coming from such a distant country like Chile, it is an honor to work with them and that my work is known in South America.”
The band plans to release the album in March of 2014. More...

Stryper has issued the following statement about canceling the band's previously scheduled shows for tonight (January 3rd) and tomorrow:
"To all of our devoted fans. Sadly we will not be able to perform the scheduled Stryper shows on 1/3 (Mohegan) and 1/4 (NYC/Stage48) due to circumstances out of our control. We were well aware of the storm that was forecast to hit the east coast and we had everyone board planes to make an attempt to get here as originally planned.
"Our crew and Tim made it to Rhode Island, but unfortunately Oz and Robert got stuck in Chicago with no way out. They have been at the airport all night and were not even able to get a hotel room for the night. We have tried multiple times to get them on another plane in order to move forward regarding the two shows but we keep getting bad news after bad news.
"We've explored everything within our power to make this happen, but at this point it's truly an 'act of God' and it's beyond our control. We regret to inform you all that we are left with no other choice but to reschedule the two shows for another date/time to be announced in the near future. Please know that we never want to cancel any show and it saddens us to be forced to do so. We love you guys and we look forward to getting to play for you all soon.
"God bless you and stay safe." More...
Adrenaline Mob's new album "Men Of Honor" is due out this coming February 18th, 2014 and the band has been releasing a song from the full-length every week.
Gridlink has released a new track online titled "Ketsui," which can be heard below courtesy of Terrorizer.com. Gridlink also comments:
"In a few weeks you guys will lay your hands on the last GridLink record and probably the last record I will ever make.
"It wasn't always going to be that way, but during the recording I realized that this was the end of the line for me. I don't think I will make a better record and I don't want to be in a band with anyone other than Takafumi Matsubara, who was cashing out his chips as well.
"This is a hard genre to play in. I've loved the style since I first heard it in the late 80's, via Napalm Death, however I have been notoriously critical of the genre and really only ever liked a handful of bands that play "grind" (I have gone so far as to say 99% of bands that call themselves grindcore are just playing short death metal songs). It's earned me a lot of scorn over the years but I haven't lost any sleep over it.
"I think about how lucky I have been to work with such talented people over the past 20+ years creating music in a genre that few can understand or engage with. I'm especially lucky to have met and worked with people like Rob Marton and Takafumi Matsubara, people who were not content to play in that space, but were committed to carving out a whole new sub-genre that was distinctly their own. Then there's the percussion team of Witte and Fajardo, both guys who were the absolute best at what they did, eclipsing not only their peers but those that inspired them to something more. And then there's the bass, which I grudgingly agreed to but turned out pretty damn good LOL.
"To this day, I am still surprised anyone listens to or vaguely understands any of the music I've been a part of. So once again, I find myself saying goodbye. I'm going to be focusing on writing new graphic novels, making video games and films, etc. Feel free to tag along." More...

Dust Bolt has issued the following post-tour recap and announcement about releasing a new album:
"We're finally back from our tour with Dr. Living Dead! We had a great time and wanted to thank everyone who was involved in that tour and who came out to the shows thank you! we also wanted to thank everybody for a great year 2013 for Dust Bolt and for all the support!
"Lots of things happened last year and we played many shows and got to know many great people! last year also brought many new personal experiences and issues for each one of us but I think we were able to put all that in our new record, which we recorded one month ago. The tour with Dr. Living Dead was a great final for last year and we already miss the guys!
"There are two things that really suck about touring - one is getting back home again, and second is not being able to see people who became friends for a long time! we won´t play shows for a while now as far as we are preparing everything for the release of the new album which will probably be released in April or May!
"Till then we´ll rehearsal and after that we´ll play many many shows again - we promise that! we already have some cool surprises for you and we´ll return faster, louder and more powerful than ever! Here is a small new years video we did on tour in Hamburg! we'll upload pictures from the tour soon and I'd say let thrash 2014 and get ready for another toxic attack! Cheers!" More...

"We will be releasing a new single soon as well as some music videos and new photos as well. We should have the new record in hand in a couple days completed and we will be announcing the Tucson release show very soon.
"Also we have a show at the Rialto theater in Tucson AZ later this month were we will be showcasing and dropping 4 new songs live. We feel we have the right album and finally have the right people in our corner to get this done which we are extremely thankful for.
"2014 is going to be a trademark year for us in AFTB and we hope to see you all again soon. Until then who is excited for another AFTB album?"
