Guitarist Ty Tabor has posted up a quick summation of questions that the fans have been asking him about his recent solo album and the King's X agenda. Ty released his ninth solo album "Nobody Wins When Nobody Plays" a few weeks ago via Molken Music, the label his last few releases are on. Check out "Senseless Paranoia" below, along with an atmospheric track titled "Tripped Inside Again" from the twelve-song album over at this location. Here is what Ty Tabor posted:
"Here is some info about 'Nobody Wins When Nobody Plays' (and more) based on questions I have been receiving:
Will the new album ever be available on iTunes and AmazonMP3? (Yes, in a month or two).
Is there a way to download a full resolution version? (Yes, when the album becomes available on iTunes it will also be available at CD Baby with a full resolution FLAC download at a slightly higher price).
Why is it taking so long for it to be on iTunes? (We're not submitting it to iTunes right away).
What is the best place to purchase your albums that will give the most direct support to you? (MolkenMusic.com).
What are you working on now? (New Jelly Jam, the next solo record, some other wacky stuff you'll find out about later... maybe).
What's up with King's X? (We're gonna be playing shows this year hopefully in a town near you)."
Lamb of God's Randy Blythe has checked in with the following update about taking a break from the band:
"And so another album cycle comes to an end. This has been a very eventful, at times VERY STRESSFUL, album cycle, & it's been about three years since we started on this one in our practice space. I need a break.
"Tomorrow is a 19 hour flight back to the USA, & then another one home to RVA, & except for two festival shows in 2014, I will not be thinking about Lamb of God, touring, playing heavy metal, writing new lamb of god material - NONE OF THAT STUFF AT ALL - for a good long while.
"Time to do other things for a bit, & let my brain regroup, & be a somewhat normal human being. This has been a pretty wild ride though, & to end it in AFRICA of all places still amazes the crap outta me. So thanks Johannesburg for an awesome end to the Resolution tour cycle, & to all you other bands, hear this: the game has been stepped up, & the ante has risen. You are not a REAL G until you come to South Africa & your fans throw one of THESE to you on stage - a warthog skull.
"Takes the cake for the strangest thing throw at me on stage ever, & I've had some weird shit thrown at me - I named him Jeff. Jeff, the South African warthog. Top that, y'all. Don't front like your ballin' if you ain't rockin' that wart hog shizzy. I figured I'd finish up the cycle with a nice self-portrait. Me & Jeff are outty. Peace, & one love." More...

Christian metal act Taker will soon see the release of "It Is Finished – The Complete Anthology" via Roxx Records. The label comments:
"In 1987 a small and fairly unknown band would release a four song cassette demo that they would sell and distribute completely independent, and it would garnish great reviews in the underground white metal scene, which would start to pave the way for this band to make its mark on the metal world. Up next for this band in 1988 the band would get asked to contribute not one, but two tracks on a very high profile Christian Metal compilation on Regency Records entitled East Coast Metal and the band had now become a household name in the world of Christian Metal.
"That band was called Taker and they were now poised to take the world by storm, between the success of their four song demo (which would get dubbed the ‘Matthew 11:12’ EP) and the East Coast Metal compilation, it was the start of what promised to be a very fruitful career for this young and energetic metal band from Northern Virginia. Oliver Amberg (ex-Celtic Frost) has a new project called The Boris Karloff Syndrome, which will soon be releasing new EP "Kopophobia."
The features guests Tommy Vetterli (Coroner / 69 Chambers), Gianni Pontillo (Ex-Pure Inc.), and Leif Gregoriy aka Snake Sixx. Check out a rough demo snippet of the song "Caffeine" below.
Unholy Anarchy Records is proudly presenting the debut EP from Baltimore area powerviolence miscreants Sleep Disorder. The label comments:
"An absolutely pummeling collection of six songs that will sear their sound into your very soul! Sleep Disorder is comprised of non-conformist musicians from Baltimore and Pasadena, MD, including Tyler Carnes of Noisem on bass and vocals.
"Sleep Disorder is built upon utter depravity, punishing noise, and chaotic tone. The sound erupting from the Baltimore area four-piece is never predictable, and about as off-kilter as it gets. The result is extreme noise blasts of anger, staggering guitar rumbles, and earsplitting vocals. After all of that, Sleep Disorder hits with drudging, bottom end rhythm that is so damn cerebral, it will numb your brain.
"Previously self-released on Bandcamp as a digital-only EP in November 2013, the 7" EP is scheduled for a March 18th release. A total of 300 copies will be available, 100 on clear vinyl and 200 on black vinyl."
The track listing is:
A1. Lost Cause
A3. The Web
B3. Sleep Disorder More...
Trigger Point has set March 25th, 2014 as the release date for the Shaun Lopez-produced sophomore album “Giving up the Ghost” via THC Music/InGrooves. In anticipation of the album's release, the band is streaming new single "Letters to the Living" online at this location.
"This was the first song we wrote for the album and it really set the tone for us both musically and lyrically. The song is about a dream I kept having about dying in a car crash," says Trigger Point frontman Taylor Wallace. "Having never gotten to say goodbye, I imagined myself writing a letter to my loved ones from the grave. The theme of the entire album is about letting go and moving on, both in life and in death."
Spring will also see the digital re-release of the band's debut “A Silent Protest,” available on all digital outlets 2/2.
The lads in Psychostick love their fans and their fans love them, so a recent fan made music video for the band's latest track "Obey The Beard!" The video is called "Beard Fortress" and it can be viewed below.
“First and foremost, the fact that we get fan made videos always surprises me, especially when they’re done this well! If I ever have a bad day, all I have to do is hop on Youtube and just search around. It pushes the band to keep putting our best feet forward!" comments guitarist Josh Key.
"Obey The Beard" is Pyschostick's latest single, which debuted at #14 on U.S. radio metal charts. After a successful crowd funding campaign, the band is currently in studio recording a follow-up to 2011's "Space Vampires vs. Zombie Dinosaurs." More...
