U.K. traditional metal band Stuka Squadron announced additional dates for dates for the United Kingdom and Europe for 2012 in support of the re-release of ‘Tales of the Ost’ via Metalbox Recordings on February 13 2012.

Chimaira frontman Mark Hunter has posted two unreleased demos from "The Age Of Hell" recording sessions. You can stream or download them below below. Of the first, he comments, "I had no idea what I'd do vocally and recall wanting to work on other songs instead. shelved."
Additionally, he has uploaded demo recordings of other songs off the album, including "Scum of the Earth" and "Clockwork" on his Soundcloud page.

Female fronted prog metal act To-Mera entered the studio today to recording an upcoming new album. The band has now also posted a brief video clip online from the drum recording sessions. Check out the clip below.
The Beyond will be releasing a split 7" with The Lurking Corpses titled "Gross Encounters of the Sacrificial Rite." The disc will feature two new songs from The Beyond - "The Sacrificial Whores of Satan" and "Total Genocide." On the flipside of the disc will be a couple tracks from The Lurking Corpses, a cover of Grim Reaper's "See You in Hell" and the song "Midnight Munging." The split 7" should be released soon on Horror Pain Gore Death productions.
Nominon is now streaming both of the songs, the title cut and "Burnt Human Offering," from it's recently released 7" "Manifestations of Black" over at this location. The 7" is to tide fans over until Nominon unleashes the follow-up to 2010's album "Monumentomb," which should come sometime in 2012 on Deathgasm Records. The Warriors Of Metal V Fest has confirmed three more bands that will be appearing at the event. Oklahoma City based power metal band FORTE, who released it's EP "Vae Solis" in September, has confirmed for the festival along with San Diego powerhouse BENEDICTUM. Also appearing will be Queens, NY based epic metal band LAST ALLIANCE. The Warriors Of Metal V Fest will take place on June 29th and 30th at the Frontier Ranch in Pataskala, OH. Italian death metal act Humangled has recently completed recording a four song follow-up to the band's 2010 full-length, "Fractal." Entitled "Odd Ethics," the EP is set to be released in early/mid 2012 through Abyss Records.
"Odd Ethics" was tracked at Italy's Mel-1 Studios. Sound production was handled by Dan Swano (Unisound Studios) and the cover art for "Odd Ethics" was designed by artist Marko Somero.

Recently formed black metal act Order of the Cloven Hoof has posted a new, raw demo track online to give fans a taste of what's to come. Check out the new track "Goat of the Thousand Young" by heading over to the band's Facebook profile here.
Burzum, the one man black metal band spearheaded by infamous musician Varg Vikernes, has announced that a new studio album, entitled "Umskiptar" (Metamorphoses,) will be released this May through Byelobog Productions. The album was recorded in Grieghallen Studio in Bergen in September 2011. All the lyrics on the album are taken from a Norse poem named, "Völuspá." The English translation of the lyrics can be found in Vikernes' latest book, "Sorcery And Religion In Ancient Scandinavia." You can check out the tracklisting and artwork for the album below:

Footage has been posted online of Vildhjarta performing a full live set in Moscow on January 19th, 2012. Check out the clip below. Vildhjarata is currently touring in support of the new album "Måsstaden" (reviewed here).
New York's Biohazard has issued the following statement online via Facebook about member Scott Roberts being hospitalized:
"So we arrive in Belgium and Scott is rushed to the Hostpital. After spending the whole day getting tests done to no avail, he checks himself out of the hospital to make the show just in time to KICK FUCKING ASS and help us blow the roof off of Deinze, Belgium! That's the crazy vegetarian hardcore dude he is! After the show, he's rushed back to the hospital! Anyone else would had canceled the tour! SCOTT ROCKS!"
The band also later issued this follow-up post about his condition:
"We don't know. He's sick as a dog and they can't out what it is??? Catscans, MRI's...the whole 9 yards, still no word. He was rushed back to the hospital last night after the show> send your prayers, he needs them!"
The Convalescence has posted a pre-production version of the track "Concubine" online, which can be heard below.
The song will be recorded, mixed, and mastered at Metro 37 Recording Studio in March and is set to appear on the upcoming "Unmasking The Betrayer" album, due out on April 20th, 2012.
Tulsa, OK based band Beneath (not to be confused with the Icelandic act of the same name), has posted a video clip online for the song "Flatline." Check out the video below, or listen to all four tracks off the band's new EP through Reverbnation or Facebook.
French black metal act Darkenhold has issued the following announcement about gearing up to record a new album:
"Finally, the studio for the second opus moves forward in big step, and takes even a little beforehand, the first session for drums is planned for February 18th and 19th!
"The track list and lyrics are finished, the cover art is near ended, riffs and rythmics are more old-school influenced, with more present keyboards (but measured) in the old vein and the outro will be special and surprising..."

Riku of Finland's Devenial Verdict has issued the following update from the recording studio:
"What I was trying write, but since MySpace apparently doesn't function on my phone: we're here at the studio! Drums and guitars have been recorded and Sebastian is working on some mean bass tunes at the moment.
"I'll start recording the vocals in an hour or so and then it's all ready. The tracklisting is as follows:

Death of a Salesman has posted the following statement online about splitting with Rising Records:
"We have decided to end our association with Rising Records. We are certain that most of you have heard the allegations regarding the legitimacy of the label, and it's owner. We do not want to be affiliated with a label with such negative ethics towards the music industry and we refuse to allow someone to fund our band with money that has been gained from other bands under false pretenses.
"We are hugely disappointed with what has happened, as we only had the best intentions with our deal with Rising Records, but we feel we have no other alternative. As for our album, we assure you that the release of the album is not affected by this decision and we will have a release date for you all very soon. We thank you for all your continued support."

German folk/melodic death band Suidakra has posted a new music video for the song "Balor." The track appears on the band's latest release "Book of Dowth" which was released in March of 2011 through AFM Records.
