Deep in the heart of Hell Paso Texas, Ministry’s Al Jourgensen re-opened the doors of his industrial compound studio in Fall 2011 and invited his favorite co-conspirators Mike Scaccia (Rigor Mortis), Tony Campos (Static X), Tommy Victor (Prong) and Casey Orr (Rigor Mortis/Gwar) to climb on board the Ministry pirate ship and de-construct and re-construct Jourgensen’s monsterpiece "Relapse."
Thirty years and twelve albums later, as well as a near-death experience in 2010, Jourgensen rises as a phoenix from the ashes with "Relapse" -- still angry, still political and very very pissed off. Relapsing back into the music industry after a four-year hiatus, Jourgensen launches his audio assault with “Ghouldiggers,” a no-holds-barred metal bullet aimed directly at the pitfalls of the industry he has survived. The following press release was issued about "Relapse:"
"Everything Jourgensen predicted on Houses of the Molé, Rio Grande Blood and The Last Sucker has transpired and as we approach the Mayan calendar of the End of Days in 2012, Jourgensen, re-invigorated by the global 99 Percenters and Occupy Wall Street movement, navigates through Relapse once again as a reluctant prophet accusing, dissecting, cajoling and exhorting greed, corruption and lies.
"Reaching back to his punk rock roots, Jourgensen and his MINISTRY pirates cover S.O.D’s 'United Forces' – a track written 20 years ago still relevant today as a call to arms for the unrighteous and to those who feel disenfranchised by the 'system' as it stands today.
"Sited as the driving force behind a cross-section of metal genres from industrial Nine Inch Nails to thrash artists Static X and Nu Metal’s Korn, Linkin Park, Slipknot, Limp Biskit, and receiving six Grammy Nominations for Best Metal Performance, Jourgensen returns with his greatest achievement to date with Relapse. Leave it to Jourgensen to make a comeback with a relapse. Check out video footage documenting the making of Relapse at this location."
The "Relapse" track listing is as follows:
2. Double Tap
5. United Forces
6. 99 Percenters
8. Weekend Warrior
9. Git Up Get Out ‘n Vote
11. Relapse Defibrillator Mix (Special Limited Edition) More...

We're happy to be hitting the road with our pals in Counterparts, and soon-to-be pals in A Plea For Purging and Dead Icons. And what's more, I'd probably kill to have that Roger Rabbit shirt again.

"Altogether it will be about 23 tracks of Brutal Death Metal on one CD. Once again Insision and the sound engineer Anders Eriksson 'Off Beat' Studio will work together on this CD. The release date is planned to may this year.
"Insision are pleased to release this CD for Sevared Records and in full writing for their next, yet untitled full length CD planned to be released on Sevared Records later this year.
"The new material sounds like a mix of the complex stuff we did on our first record 'Beneath the Folds of Flesh' back in 2001 along with rhythm parts that can be explained with a more darker approach. We don't want our listeners to wait too long for a new record; therefore we'll release this collection for the fans that are into Brutal Death Metal. Hope it's worth the wait. Stay tuned…."

Unearth discovered Pierce on YouTube where he had been covering Unearth songs, among many other bands, on a series of videos on his YouTube channel. More...

As was previously announced, Moonspell's new album "Alpha Noir" will be released on April 27th and will also be available as a deluxe special edition including the musical twin "Omega White."
Both releases were produced and mixed by Tue Madsen and pre-produced by Benny Richter. The band will present the new songs at upcoming summer festival appearances. The double album "Alpha Noir" / "Omega White" will be played in its entirety at Lisbon's Campo Pequeno, that holds 5000 fans, with the most daring stage set and visuals the band has ever tried. Fernando Ribeiro commented:
"A true band has to have a glorious past, a solid present, and a bright future. More than that, a true band has to know how to live through all these seasons, dealing with their ghosts, their shadows, their aim at the light, moulding darkness with personality, with the impulse to be better, to do better while getting close to theirselves. Their true heart, soul and flesh. Never has a Moonspell album come so close to being the new opus magna (masterpiece). "Alpha Noir" is scheduled to be proudly released by Napalm Records on the 27th of April, when spring racks through the wastes of winter, bursting new colors over familiar sights, once silent and white, yet now fiery under the blackest of suns.
"The concept of this new record, painstakingly composed by the Portuguese gothic metal knights over the past three years, following the critically acclaimed 'Night Eternal,' is bulletproof. The band managed to split their heart and soul in half, and the result is that they came even closer to themselves: the ambitious band they always were with a undying wish to not claim any throne, but to build their own ships that would take them and their fans to 'give new worlds to the world,' like in the Age of Discovery, where the Portuguese were a leading force in the world.
"With their country drowned in a corrosive crisis, Moonspell filled their lungs with pride and created an incendiary album, with nine outbursts of their rockiest and thrashier riffs made superiorly dimensioned by the reindivictative lyrical content and songs structure that take you by storm from the get-go. Moonspell has tapped a notch into their energy-filled gothic metal by adding a guitar wall forged by timeless artists: Bathory, King Diamond, and even old thrash metal legends like Onslaught and Metallica's early Works, or Testament and Artillery make Alpha Noir a truly surprising and fresh record, in which all the songs have climax with a high-tension charm that will for sure electricize live audiences everywhere. Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler issued a studio update on the progress of the much anticipated new Black Sabbath album, the first album with the original lineup in 33 years. Earlier this month, Tony Iommi was
Butler posted an update on his official web site, which reads:
"Today [January 19th] we got the engines back up and running at Tony’s home studio. Far from being down and depressed about his lymphoma diagnosis, Tony had already written the music for two new songs, and I must say it has given us all a kick up the rump — it’s great to hear him churning out those riffs again, assuaging the Demon C. Takes more than that to stop Tony. Can’t wait for you all to hear our workings; it has been great working on this stuff.
"I want to thank the lovely encouraging emails sent to this site giving Tony love and encouragement and great vibes. It really does help, not only Tony, but us as a band — it raises up our spirits and restores our faith in this tarnished world.
"SABB fans are good people. Time and again, you have proven your faith in us and boosted our endeavour.
“Thanks, love, peace.”
The new Black Sabbath album is expected in this fall of 2012.
Dutch symphonic metal band Delain has unveiled the album artwork and track listing for the forthcoming LP "We Are The Others," the band's third studio release. No release date has been announced.
The band had the following comments in the most recent update on the release: "We are very proud to reveal the cover artwork and track listing of our third studio album 'We Are The Others.' As you might expect from us this album again offers some interesting collaborations, both in musical and visual terms. This record features none less then Fear Factory shouter Burton C Bell as a guest singer, and visual artist Glenn Arthur provided the cover artwork.
"Next to the title track 'We Are The Others,' the track listing below also reveals the song 'Where Is The Blood' featuring Burton C Bell (FEAR FACTORY). We met Burton at the Wacken Open Air festival a year ago and stayed in touch afterwards. When we were working on "Where is The Blood" we didn't hesitate to contact him for cooperation.
