Crystal Viper has issued the following statement about canceling the band's appearance at the Princess From Hell 2013 festival:
"Sad news from our booking agency: the Crystal Viper show at Princess From Hell Festival planned for March 3 in Buenos Aires has been canceled.
"We don't have further news about other bands and we don't know if the festival will happen (we just know Edenbridge canceled as well) - but we know it was impossible to contact the promoter for the last couple of months, and he also didn't fulfill any contract obligations, didn't book the flights, nor even started to sell tickets for the festival.
"We are very sorry, especially as it's the first ever Crystal Viper show that has been canceled. We are doing our best to visit Argentina & other South American countries this, promoters: get in touch!"
Edenbridge also recently commented via Facebook: "Buenos Aires show cancelled! Unfortunately we had to cancel our show in Buenos Aires scheduled for March 1, 2013. The promoter Antonio Ramon Maza from AKA Fictionmetalpress has not fulfilled any parts of the contract. The concert seemingly wasn't announced anywhere, there were no tickets for sale and flight tickets and advance payment was not provided right in time. We are very sorry for our fans in Argentina."

Botanist, the unconventional one-man black metal band featuring vocals, drums, and hammered dulcimer instrumentation, is gearing up to release its fourth album, "IV: Mandragora," on February 19th from experimental metal label The Flenser.
Check out the exclusive premiere of Botanist’s “Mandrake Legion (Mandagora V)” over at Pitchfork.com here. The following press release was also issued about the album:
"Combining lyrical creativity and musical ingenuity, IV: Mandragora is a concept record on the alchemical creation of a mandrake, and how The Botanist is instructed on raising an army of mandrakes to wipe out humanity. The songs of Botanist are told from the perspective of The Botanist, a crazed man of science who lives in self-imposed exile, as far away from Humanity and its crimes against Nature as possible. In his sanctuary of fantasy and wonder, which he calls the Verdant Realm, he surrounds himself with plants and flowers, finding solace in the company of the Natural world, and envisioning the destruction of man. There, seated upon his throne of Veltheimia, The Botanist awaits the day when humans will either die or kill each other off, which will allow plants to make the Earth green once again."
Pre-orders for the CD edition of "IV: Mandragora" are available right here, with a vinyl release coming shortly.
Embracing Abomination has issued the following announcement about parting ways with vocalist/drummer/keyboardist Alex Bent:
"This is something that is hard to put into words, but needs to be said to those of you who have stuck with us and supported us since this band was launched over a year ago. As of recently, I (Alex Bent) am no longer a member of Embracing Abomination.
"This was a big decision for me, it isn’t something I take lightly and I am very conscious of the fact that many people who have always shown their support for me and this band will be let down. I’m sorry to those of you who are disappointed, but unfortunately my time in the band has come to an end.
"I’m thankful to everyone who really showed me how much this band has affected them. It’s an unbelievable feeling to know that the things that I have written have inspired and helped people who needed it. More...
