Mexican prehispanic black metal band Amocualli has just released its debut album "Tlayoualotl," which translated to English means 'the Gods led us to battle.' Besides the "To'o Nil" single which we posted earlier, Amocualli has uploaded four more songs from the release. Below is an upload of "Me To'o Kachiya Kuunvago Kakana," with the other tracks available over at YouTube. The uploads also contain the lyrics in the indigenous Mixteco language.
Phillipino brutal death metal band Sagrado recently launched its full-length debut album "Mass Sufferings of a Human Being" on the German label Morbid Generation Records, with distribution by Sevared Records. A promo of the album is streaming below. Sagrado recently played at the Barakuhan Hardcore Punk Metal fest in Batangas City with 35 other Phillipino extreme metal bands.
Suidakra has set "Eternal Defiance" as the title for the band's upcoming new album, which follows previous full-length "Book of Dowth" (reviewed here). The band has now checked in with the following brief studio update:

There's a slew of new heavy metal bands popping up across the globe covering just about every imaginable sound, and plenty more appearing on the horizon. Thanks to easy access to digital tools and online methods of music distribution, the metal scene as a whole has an exploding population, and every year we try to keep up with the best new talent in our year-end “best of” awards.
To help get you acquainted with the best new metal out there, we’ll be briefly covering the bands nominated by our contributors for the “Best Newcomer” category of Metalunderground.com’s recent 2012 awards.
Today we'll conclude our coverage of the best metal talent from last year by featuring nominees from three different contributors. You can also find yesterday's post on nominated acts over here.
Metalunderground.com site founder deathbringer nominated:
I haven't been following as many new, up-and-coming bands this year as usual, but I couldn't help but notice that Chicago thrash/doom band Earthen Grave released a first full-length album in 2012. The self-titled effort followed (and also contains the songs from) the "Dismal Times" EP from 2009, which has been in heavy rotation in my doom playlists for a long time. The band most notably features Ron Holzner on bass (formerly of Trouble), and Rachel Barton Pine on electric violin. The violin is used to excellent effect to add atmosphere on the doomy songs and even some solos during the faster parts. The band has also done an excellent cover of Witchfinder General's "Burning a Sinner." Check out the epic "Death On The High Seas" below:
Bizarre Leprous Productions has released the CD version of Japanese goregrind band Go-Zen's recent offering "Hitoshizuko." Go-Zen is streaming four songs from the release over on its reverbnation page, including the newest track "Iron Crow Zero-Shiki." Go-Zen is planning a show titled 'In Akiba We Gore Vol. 1' along with four other Japanese extreme metal bands on Feb. 9th at the Studio Revole in Tokyo.
Vancouver, British Columbia-based Baptists is preparing for the public onslaught of debut LP "Bushcraft," set for release in North America on February 19th via Southern Lord.
Today the outfit hurls the album’s combustible second track “Think Tank Breed” onto the unsuspecting public. The high-paced snare drum attack ripping the track wide open at the first second of this brutalizing anthem sets the listener up for what unhinged and pummeling riffage in store on "Bushcraft."
Have your face renovated by “Think Tank Breed” via BrooklynVegan here or in the player available below.
Tour actions in support of "Bushcraft" are being devised, including a trek to 2013’s SXSW festivities and more. Stay tuned as more details emerge over the coming weeks. The album's track listing is:
2. Think Tank Breed
4. In Droves
5. Still Melt
