WolveXhys Comments On Parting Ways With Two Members
WolveXhys has checked in with the following announcement about parting ways with two members:
"Over the past few weeks we have spoken about the departure of Shane (bass) and Rav (guitar) from the band due to various circumstances, Shane and Rav have been with us through thick and thin and have each decided to take the time to write in their own words the reasons behind their leaving."
Shane states: “So recently my commitments have shifted and I’ve had opportunities come my way based overseas which I cannot turn down and hence my commitment to the band is suffering so before this becomes a problem for the lads I’ve decided to step down from Wolvexhys, I’ve made some friends through this band that I’ll be in contact with for some time and me and the lads are on the same terms as if I was in the band. The future for Wolvexhys is looking bright and I wish the lads the best of luck!”
Rav adds: “I'm no longer in wolvexhys. Mainly because of musical differences. With the changes undergoing in Wolvexhys music wise I just don't see myself being a part of it. However in the next few weeks I am setting up a solo project in which I hope to be working with various different vocalists so yeah, keep an eye out. Peace”
The band also comments: "With this now being the case we feel it is necessary to announce also that we are NOT splitting up, we ARE finishing our new E.P and we are STILL going to be shooting a new music video however we have chosen to now remain as a four piece and so we will be introducing our brand new bassist when we release our brand new music video (Filmed by Ollie Norton/Mutiny Press) of a brand new track off our brand fucking new E.P of with artwork designed by Dan Wagner from D-Dub Designs, California (Veil of Maya, Bermuda, Structures, Volumes etc.).
"The future of this band is as Shane mentioned; 'bright,' but in order to do this and maintain we are going to be evolving from what you know of WolveXhys. Our debut album we released back in November 2013 'Servants of Penance and Purification' (available via Bandcamp and all major online digital distributers) included all of the aspects we wanted from our musical influences but very little influence from ourselves and mainly centered around the basis of 'Deathcore' as it’s played and known today.
"Our self-titled EP is self-titled as it will be written strictly as WolveXhys, and will be the first release to really incorporate our sound and what we are about both musically and through strong lyrical messages, this DOES NOT mean we’ll be drastically changing in any way so don’t worry, we aren’t going pop-punk on you or going glam, it just simply means our next release will be more personal, thoughtfully written and will invoke more meaning than our last album did as opposed to the pure brunt of heaviness for the sake of heaviness.
"We aim to push the boundaries of this genre and hopefully cross into other genres expanding our audience and network reach by incorporating different aspects of a wide varieties of alternative sub-genres into our own unique sound.
"We’re going to miss Rav and Shane a lot from the band, we’ve share memorable stages with them, toured with them, got pissed with them and we still will be doing so as friends but not under the banner of WolveXhys, We wish Shane all the best in his career and Rav all the best in his solo projects that we will no doubt be plugging very soon.
"In order to progress and grow, sometimes you have to break down what you’ve already built to rebuild again. Never forget why you started and always persevere."
