Progstravaganza Announces New "Progression" Compilation

The seventeenth edition of the Progstravaganza compilation series is titled "Progression" and is due out on February 25th, 2014. Prog Sphere is open for bands submissions, which can be sent to info@prog-sphere.com.

The compilation will be available from Bandcamp and the Progstravaganza website. The artwork for the upcoming sampler was once again designed by Linden Artwork. Commented on the new artwork, designer Chris van der Linden had this to say:

"Progression of course is a pretty funny name when you realize its a compilation of 'prog' music. All jokes aside I felt like doing something I had not done before. The last album cover for TimeShift was really futuristic, so now I wanted to go for a more 'classical' feel. I thought of evolution and how we and creatures change over time. I combined this with a sort of greek/mythology flavor to give it that classical look. To create an interesting contrast I put the title in a really modern font and made sure all the colors are different from the previous album cover."
