The Devil Wears Prada To Miss Cristchurch Show, Saving Grace Still Playing
Saving Grace has issued the following announcement about The Devil Wears Prada missing a show due to illness:
"It is with very much regret that we announce that The Devil Wears Prada will no longer be appearing with us in Christchurch.
"Due to unfortunate circumstances surrounding the health of lead guitarist Chris, the band is unable to make their pre-Parachute Festival performance down south and cannot perform without him. TDWP in association with their management have made the following statement:
We regret to announce that we must cancel our performance in Christchurch due to a band member falling ill and unable to fly today. We look forward to making this up to all of our fans and friends in Christchurch in the future. We hope everyone will still come out, enjoy the evening and support the Saving Grace album release. All other shows will remain scheduled.
"We are aware that many South Island fans were looking forward to seeing TDWP alongside Saving Grace and understand that this is extremely disappointing. Please be assured that we did everything possible to try and avoid this from happening and that both the band and their agent did their best to avoid cancelling, but unfortunately Chris is unwell and unable to fly out to make this show and it is logistically impossible for us to reschedule.
"The Zebedees show will still proceed with Saving Grace playing an extended set for South Island fans in support of the brand new album 'The Urgency.' All ticket holders will also be entitled to exclusive brand new Saving Grace merchandise at entry.
"For All Eternity from Australia as well as Out Cold AD and The Mari Slack Band will round off the bill for a great night. Limited door sales / 'The Urgency' album deals will be available on the night for non ticket holders."
