Division Vocalist Scott Stewart Issues Health And Band Update
Vocalist Scott Stewart of D.C. outfit Division has checked in with the following health update:
"Hey all, this is Scott, as a lot of you know I've been a guest of the Inova Hospital system for the past couple of weeks. This was a pretty good scare, it was Pneumonia, with a blood clot in my right lung, if it hadn't been treated it could have killed me. It required major surgery to dig the infection and residuals out.
"There was about twenty minutes waiting for the ambulance to show up that I'd be a liar if I didn't say that the words 'This is it' didn't cross my mind.
"I'd just like to say thank you for all the love and support sent my way, by our friends and fans. This little thrash band that could has a lot more music left, and I'm honored to be a part of it.
"I've been given a second chance, by whatever or whoever drives the universe, so as soon as I am able to lay down tracks you will hear the heaviest, most angry and poignant set of songs that Division has ever done. Someone once told us that we should be writing songs about dragons and kings and such, because our lyrics were the scariest things he'd ever read, because they are real. Division is going back to our roots. We live in Washington DC there's plenty of material to write about, and we have.
"I'm on the mend, this has made me more determined to live my life to the fullest in all aspects. Division, my day job, and the most important role that I have, father. I'd say to all of you, do the same thing, live every day like it's the last one. Make it a day that you'd be willing to sign your name on it like a canvas. Make an impact, make a difference.
"Get ready, because 2014 will bring a revitalized Division ready to take on the world and kick it square in the face... Hang on kids the ride is just getting started ...Division is coming... prepare for war."
