The Rockstar Ramblings: Just Say Yes
This week Vitne, The Sandness, and Beasto Blanco bring videos full of pretty colors, suckers, and Pall Mall cigarettes.
Norway's Vitne has released his new single entitled "Nasty Habit" alongside a new music video, marking the third single from his full-length album 'Neon.' There are lots of special effects on this one, riding the fine lines between psychedelic, rock, and punk. Looks more like a Public Service Announcement that is pro drugs…
Sandness have released a video for "Artificial Lover", the Italian rockers' first official music video. The song is taken from the band's debut album 'Like An Addiction.’ The opening scene, the band in suits walking into a building, looks like a hit ordered by Marsellus Wallace. Band members are waiting at the door, possibly pondering one of life’s complex questions: “Is giving a girl a foot massage and going down on a girl the same ballpark?” A girl answers (so this is not a mob hit). She apparently has two rules: 1. No kissing 2. No suckers. Scattered around the room are empty booze bottles, panties, and packs of Pall Malls. Is it just me or does the lead vocalist look a little bit like Dr. Frank-N-Furter from The Rocky Horror Picture Show? (Probably just me and my issues.) Anyway, after the band gets their rocks off (pun always intended) they perform in formal attire (suits, ties, and smiles). So, the girl was a prostitute, right? For the record, my opinion is NOT the same ballpark…
Beasto Blanco has released a video for the song "Live Fast Die Loud", the title track from the band's recent debut album. The video begins like a low budget horror movie (always good) and then continues into the studio. This is another video where using drugs may enhance the experience. Yeah drugs!
