The Rockstar Ramblings: Shredded Sleeves

This week a journey with Eldorado to find the perfect pub and Black Tora pleads with you to raise your fists.

Spanish rockers Eldorado have released a video for "Mr. Saturn", the latest single from the band's 2012 album 'Antigravity Sound Machine.’ I typically associate shredding with guitar playing, but this video begins with shredded drum sticks. The song kicks off and the video follows members of the band who are drinking alone and content. Then, they all leave as if there is an important meeting to attend to. The members wander the streets, the suspense building. In the end, no big deal, just the band meeting up for more drinking at a pub called The Lodge. Drinking with friends is better than drinking alone. Most of the time…

“Raise Your Fists” is the latest video from the Black Tora EP with the same name. The video begins with a Grindhouse intro, followed by the band kicking ass. Since the release of the EP (2012) the band looks more grizzled and weathered. This is good, they look like they have spent a year drinking and fighting. I am also a huge fan of the trio walking on the street with a camera in front. Did all three say “Hey, let’s do that thing the Beastie Boys did in all of their videos!” at the same time? Also, it’s very clear there is a standing NO SLEEVES rule with this band. The trio wears cotton, leather, and denim all sleeveless. That is dedication…
