Update: the stream is no longer available, but you can hear music from the band at the Sight of Emptiness Facebook page.

Costa Rica's Sight of Emptiness has been hard at work towards making an impact on the global metal scene since the release of "Trust Is A Disease" in 2007 and now the band is releasing a new album titled "Instincts."

Metalunderground.com is proud to today bring you an exclusive listen to a track off the album, featuring a guest appearance by Ralph Santolla (Obituary). Check out "Obsession" in the player below, and let us know what you think of the tune in the comments section.

Explaining the changes taking place on this album, guitarist Rafael Castro comments: "We are searching for our own musical identity; our own sound, so we decided to incorporate a lot of new elements. There´s a lot of electronic atmospheres and sequences all over, and a lot of melodic sections combined with complex patterns. We´re very glad we could get to experiment a lot. Our goal is to keep evolving."

Tracking for the new "Instics" album took place at Hits Recording Studios in Costa Rica, while mixing and mastering was handled by Thomas "Plec" Johansson from Sweden's The Panic Room Studios.

The band's recently released music video for "Essence" can be viewed at this location.
