The Rockstar Ramblings: Rock Bottom Outlaws

The newness returns with videos from Israel, Finland, and New York. Bonus: We also have a new video from, Gypsy Lee Pistoleros, the man with the greatest nickname of all time: The Spanglish-speaking Flamenco Retro Rocker Glam Punk Sleaze Rock N Roll outlaw.

Israeli rockers CHASE THE ACE have released the third video from their debut album 'Are You Ready?' giving fans a taste of their live shows as they're getting ready for their European tour. The video for "Rock Bottom Rocknroll" follows a rock chick's day as she films herself from the minute she gets up naked in bed until she's ready to party at the band's gig in the evening. The song is fine, but in typical “rock chick” fashion, she’s left out a lot of the story. In fact EVERYTHING! Other than a side boob we see very little of what happens with this girl. Where are the shady dudes, drugs, and firearms? Not too mention 2 for 1 rail drinks, now that is hitting rock bottom…

SANTA CRUZ have released a video for the song "Nothing Compares To You", the Finnish rockers' third video from their latest album 'Screaming For Adrenaline.’ Quick Summary: On the road you will find lots of hair, girls, and drinking…

New York City’s CIRCUS LIFE have released a video for the song "Blown Away", the first single from their debut album 'Little Secrets.’ The video alternates from the band performing on stage and their apartments/neighborhoods. We don’t learn too much except that Circus Life really enjoys their beer in can form. Most of the video feels like we are watching the group run errands on their day off. Of course, this particular day they were working on the video AND had to run errands so that sucks…

The new GYPSY LEE PISTOLEROS album 'The Wild, Magical, Mystical Medicine Show' is to be released via six singles, with one release per month with accompanying music videos. The ambitious idea kicks off with the classic cover of Johnny Mathis' (and later David Bowie) "Wild Is The Wind.” Not a typical setting for a video and Pistoleros looks hot in his heavy jacket. Not “want to fuck him” hot, temperature wise of course. Also, he is unable to catch a break hitchhiking with the camera guy, not a great day. At 2:08 a very long note transitions the video to a setting of darkness over a burning fire. I guess the message was, “Fuck this, no one is picking us up, let’s just build a fire and live here.” Done. Check out the new jacket on Pistoleros. He really has an Elvis-level commitment to jackets…
