Ex Deo posted an update on whether the band will release a third album...with the answer as: YES. As to when the album will see the light of day, only "when the gods permit and the people of the new Roman era rise to request it."

4/5ths of the band make up the entirety of Kataklysm, which is releasing the new album "Waiting for the End to Come" via Nuclear Blast on October 25th. As the band gears up for that promotion and touring activities, Ex Deo will be on hiatus.

The full update reads: "Citizens ... We EX DEO are extremely grateful for the support you have given us these past years , this last euro tour with our brothers in Nile was a great time , we enjoyed every minute with you all , as now we close this chapter of Ex Deo for the " CALIGVLA " campaign , we had some serious thoughts as many of you asked us when and If there will be another EX DEO album ...

"after having a few meetings the answer is .. YES ..

"when ? ..well, when the gods permit and the people of the new Roman era rise to request it , for now we bid you farewell soldiers , brothers, sisters , ROMA CAPUT MUNDI !

"in closing we leave you with these glorious words from our 'Caesar:' Veni, vidi, vici !!

"Your legion XIII"
