Finnish metal band Thunderstone, originally created in 2000 by Ex-Antidote guitarist Nino Laurenne, has broken its four year silence since the release of "Dirt Metal" in 2009. The band posted the following on its Facebook Page:

"The long silence is over! We know many of you have wondered what’s become of Thunderstone — some even declaring the band dead. Well, we aren’t dead yet! In fact, in the next four weeks, we will announce major news regarding the band here and on Twitter. Stay tuned every Friday and you’ll know what’s happening in the near future. Believe me, it’s going to be exciting stuff!"

Thunderstone released five albums since 2002. It's current lineup consists of:

Rick Altzi (MasterPlan/At Vance) -- Vocals
Nino Laurenne (Ex-Antidote) -- Guitar
Titus Hjelm (Ex-Antidote) -- Bass
Jukka Karinen (Status Minor/The Magnificent) -- Keyboards
Mirka Rantanen (Warmen/Kotipelto) -- Drums
