Oklahoman death metallers Cascus are proud to announce the upcoming release of their debut self-titled EP, which will be available via Bandamp this coming July 23rd, 2013.
Independently recorded, mixed, and mastered in Oklahoma City, the band aims to incorporate fresh elements into the death metal genre. Listeners can pre-order the new CD at this location. According to a press release, the EP "combines exotic textures, a rich assortment of instrumental acrobatics and a diversity of soundscapes that is truly unlike anything to come out of America's heartland."
"We worked very hard to put this together," offers guitarist and vocalist Jay Gleason. "We wanted to do proper justice to the music, give it a chance to become what we wanted it to be. Our influences are very diverse, and that definitely comes through."
In support of the new EP, the band is planning a series of shows in Oklahoma and the surrounding areas.
