Anagnorisis Finishes New Album "Beyond All Light"
Louisville, Kentucky-based black metal perpetrators Anagnorisis have completed the recording of their second LP, and the beast is now in the final stages of preparation before being cast upon the populous this Summer. The following press release was issued about the band:
"Based on a Greek phrase for 'discovery,' Anagnorisis was founded in 2003 by Austin Lunn (Panopticon), and the act set out to experiment with merging symphonic and death-infused black metal styles. They recorded the debut album Overton Trees and released it in 2007, the album instantly gaining the band a widespread following beyond the local sector, to which they tormented with live attacks. Lunn moved on and several other lineup changes took shape over the following years since, with the band releasing two EP’s released in the interim – 2009’s Alpha & Omega, and 2012’s Ghosts Of Our Fathers – with each new incarnation and new recording showing new innovations and expansions on their thesis, and their blackened metal continually taking the form of something more insidious.
"Their first full-length since 2007, Anagnorisis now confirms the title of the new opus as 'Beyond All Light,' the album containing the band’s most expansive material to date, following months of production as the band recorded everything themselves at guitarist Zak Denham’s own One by One Studios. Now completely harnessed, the masters have been passed to Ken Sorceron (Abigail Williams) who is currently handling mixing and mastering duties. The band will unleash Beyond All Light on their own in a plethora of configurations, including CD, LP, cassette and digital formats. Confirmed release dates will be announced in the coming days."
