New Album On The Way From Taberah As Band Signs With Dust On The Tracks Records

Australian power thrash act Taberah has signed a two album deal with German label Dust on the Tracks Records. The band will issue its sophomore LP "Necromancer" in July of this year (exact date not yet announced). The band is streaming the new track "2012" from the release, which can be heard below.

"Necromancer" was engineered by Theo B (Scorpion), produced and mixed by Joe Haley (Psycroptic) and mastered by Australian Metal Icon Stu Marshall (Death Dealer/Empires Of Eden/Dungeon/Paindivision).

Stu Marshall commented on the album: “Taberah's 'Necromancer' is one of the best metal releases to come out of Australia in the last 10 years”.

Inspired by the strong musical bond of Jonathon Barwick (guitarist/vocals) and Tom Brockman (drums), Taberah was born in 2004. The bands sound and live performance is derived from a vast range of influences including the traditional heavy metal styles of Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath, the rock 'n' roll swagger of AC/DC and Thin Lizzy mixed with the over the top, tongue in cheek theatrics of Queen and The Darkness. All with a slightly modern and original twist.

In 2011, the band recorded and released the debut LP "The Light Of Which I Dream," which was produced by Joe Haley of Psycroptic. The record is a chronicle of the bands early years of blood, sweat, beers and tears on the national live circuit. The album earned Taberah worldwide acclaim.

In support of "Necromancer," Taberah will target the international stages for 2013/14, which includes plans for a run of shows in the Europe, USA, Japan as well as high profile international/national supports in Australia such as Epica (HOL), Lord (AUS), Voyager (AUS) and Municipal Waste (US) on June 22nd in Hobart/Australia.
