The Rockstar Ramblings: Tribute Edition
This week a tribute to Guns N’ Roses, eighties hair, and David Lee Roth’s version of California; a few guitars are mixed in as well.
Canadian hard rockers Reverse Grip have released a new video for the song "Mirror Mirror.” For the video “Mirror, Mirror”, Reverse Grip goes all out with a full tribute to Guns N’ Roses “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” Can you spot the differences? Sure, there are more mirrors, but that may be it. Is this okay? I really don’t know and need to consult an expert [checking Internet message boards] Yes, it’s okay!
Santa Cruz have released the second video from the debut album 'Screaming For Adrenaline' for the track "Aiming High.” Santa Cruz gives us the full trifecta in this video. The hair is flowing, the muscles are flexing, and guitars are used for gyrating motions. Well done!
Israeli rock act, Chase The Ace, have released a video for the song "California", the second music video from their new album 'Are You Ready?' Is there an official rule that all bands must have a song named “California?” If so, Chase The Ace is complying with their latest single. The video begins with a close up of a car. Nice ride? Then we see a (presumably) California blond girl coming out to wash the car. She wears heels (because all car washing strippers wear stiletto heels) and can’t help but enter into her very own wet T-shirt contest. NOTE: The shirt comes off at 1:27. Strange ending: The car is driven off without the wet, naked girl. This is not the Hollywood ending I was expecting. There should have at least been at least one shootout, two more strippers washing cars, and a jealous ex-boyfriend (who has one of those annoying Los Angeles Laker flags hanging from his car). That is my stereotyped California…
