David silveria is a raging alcoholic, dudes got issues.
He was busted last year in huntington beach for a dui at 8a on a sunday morning, so him rejoining korn for now is out of the question.
Heads back, thats great, just as long as he is reuniting for the right reason and not just for the $$$.

LMAO, Crawford. I don't really even care about this news, but it had me listening to the first 2 albums yesterday (before switching to Slayer) and I quite enjoyed them still.

LOL Crawford. Epic.

To be honest, I don't understand this one. Head has stated many times how bad Korn was for him and now he's going back?
And why are Korn taking him back? Seems to me Korn finally got their $hit back together and now they're shuffling the deck once more?

Having just watched Korn live at the Hollywood Palladium 2012 show on youtube, why the hell would they want to change anything? They're awesome!
Jon sings like it's his last day on earth, Munky's playing is just brilliant, new drummer Ray Luzier is in one word "Incredible" (Silvera can stay at his restaurant gig) and even Fieldy has learned to play.

Great move for Head, not so for Korn.
As a musician myself, to me this is a stupid move. When the line-up is clicking, stick with it. Don't change a thing.

How is it a stupid move? They've had numerous fill in guitarists since Head left. They didn't replace him for a reason. Maybe they knew one day he would come back. The main reason he left was because of drugs and his young daughter. He stated that he heard her singing A.D.D.I.D.A.S when she was just a kid and that made him think about things in his life and he wanted to change (hence why he left). His daughter is now 15 or 16 now so he doesn't need to shield her from that as much as he used to.

You mentioned why are Korn taking him back. Well they are still friends. Yes there was some bad blood between them for a while but they are all on good terms now and he's probably wanted to go back for a while. Seems pointless to continue with numerous fill in guitarists when the original guitarist is on good terms with them and is willing to come back.

312, I see what you're saying, but I've been getting the impression that Korn was eventually a complitely wrong band for Head based on what he's said on interviews.
Head really has bashed Korn since he left.
Seems like he didn't like anything about the band, his former band members or even the music.

What I'm saying is Korn are taking quite a risk welcoming him back and on certain level, Head's also taking a risk as well (is he going to go back to his old ways ?).

I'd compare an ex-band member rejoining a band to getting back together with your ex. Sure, people around seem pleased it's happening but it very rarely works out in the end.

Oh well, I hope I'm wrong. But it is quite a risk Korn are taking. Now that things had "stabilized" for them, they'd moved on, why do they want to rock the boat?

KoRn "stabilized" ?? Not even close, theyve been yoyoing with there sound n line up since head left, there best effort was r.w.y.a but that still missed something. Im just glad his back maybe there next album wont b as bad as untitled or totality. Will it work out in the long run? who knows but at least il get a couple of gd korn albums out of it. And as far as i remember head has never blasted fieldy about the situation of him leaving.

You make some good points and I get what you are saying. I think they are all in a different place now (than when Head left). All of them are sober now which I think is the main reason Head was willing to go back. The fact that Fieldy is sober is a miracle to be honest as that dude used to party like crazy (he's calmed down a lot now, the same with Munky). Maybe it's cause most of them are all older, have kids and are married etc.

Yeah I think Head used to bash them cause of their attitudes when they were drunk or on drugs. I don't think he had a problem with their music as much. I've seen a few of his live shows and he would sometimes play "Blind" or some other Korn songs. Why would you play songs of a band that you despise so much? Korn has and will always be a huge part of Heads life (you can even hear it in his solo stuff).
