The Safety Fire Posts New Album Drum Recording Footage

It was recently announced that London-based progressive metallers The Safety Fire had entered the studio to begin recording a forthcoming second album, and the band has revealed the first in a series of studio diaries documenting that process.

First up are the drums, which were tracked at Middle Farm Studios in Devon. Guitarist and producer Derya "Dez" Nagle had this to say about The Safety Fire's time in the studio: "Calvin hit the drums a lot. We were all very impressed by how much and how well he hit the drums. He was very humble about the whole thing, but there was an overwhelming feeling that we all witnessed something very special. It was the start of a new movement, the humblist was born."

It was also recently revealed that The Safety Fire would be appearing on BBC quiz show Eggheads, hosted by Jeremy Vine. While the episode won't be airing until later this year, the band has posted the audition tape that they shot in order to participate. You can view that video here.

The band's currently untitled new release is being produced once again by the band's own Derya "Dez" Nagle (guitar).
