In a post on the band's Facebook Page, Schaffer made the revelation:

"I just wanted to write to you on behalf of myself, and the band, to say thank you for the amazing growth that has been taking place on the Official Iced Earth Facebook Page. We have reached 300,000 likes in a very short time and there appears to be no end in sight.

A new album so soon after the last! I'll check it out even though it took a long time for me to warm to Dystopia.

If the entire album had been like the title track it would've been a great album to me..........but it wasn't. Like, he only did that death scream once in the beginning and that was it. I was kinda salty about it. Stu has such great vocals, and Iced Earth should expand their sound a little more since they gave us the tease with the last album. Get heavier. You've got the vocalist for it. Cause ya know, Jon will totally see this comment lol.

Extremely excited for this. Even though I am forever a Barlow fan, I love what Stu brought to the table in Dystopia. I agree with cbella; it took awhile for me to warm up to it, but I feel like Stu's style complements what Iced Earth was founded upon very well, without intruding on what Barlow (and Ripper, for that period of time) established.

In short, bring the shreds!!
