New Album From Expected This Year As Tarja Renews Album Deal With EarMusic

After the success of “Act I," former Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen has renewed her album deal with earMUSIC for a set of new releases spanning over the next few years. The first release will be the yet untitled follow up to the 2010 LP "What Lies Beneath," which is scheduled for release in August/September. The album was mixed by Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam/U2) and details about the first single, its music video and extensive worldwide tour will be revealed soon.

Turunen commented on the new release: "It’s going to be a killer, killer…In few days I am going to record the final vocals for the last song on the album. It will be a hard ending for the vocal recordings, since the song has several choirs and even some sort of ethnic touch, so I will have to sweat. Anyway this album production has gone very smoothly forward since all the pieces are together and the team that has been working with me before is still the same. It’s only getting better!"

Although rock will remain Tarja‘s main musical field, she also plans to release productions in a diverse array of musical genres. The upcoming "Beauty and The Beat" tour (side project of Tarja and former Rage drummer Mike Terrana) will be filmed this year, and the success of the album "Harus" will be followed up by the first-ever classical studio album by the Finnish vocalist.
