The Rockstar Ramblings: Living Dangerously

This week we return to videos featuring bad ass jean jackets, crazy over sized sunglasses, and horrible story lines.

Finnish rockers Santa Cruz are set to release their debut album 'Screaming For Adrenaline.' The single, "Relentless Renegades", has been released along with a video. The video is a celebration of fast music, big hair, empty beer bottles, and of course middle fingers. Don't miss out on the push-ups at 2:15. (NOTE: I do not know why these were included.)

Chicago rockers Hessler have released a music video for the song "Who Will You Run To", from their recently released debut full-length 'Comes With The Territory.' We start with a split screen man and woman which means it's time for a multiple choice question. Will the couple A) Perform a Murder B) Go on a Blind Date C) Form a Rock Band D) Go and see a Hessler Show? BOTH receive a phone call. The dude throws down his phone, pissed that he doesn't own a smart phone. The girl is hitchhiking and clearly living on the edge and the guy is running on train tracks. The name of this song should be "Living Dangerously." The guy goes OLD SCHOOL HOBO and jumps onto a railroad car and catches a ride. He really should have a stick with a red bandanna wrapped around the end if he is going to pull off that move.

Trying to one up the dude, the girl is now running down a NOT well lit hallway - DANGEROUS! The dude is also running (on uneven concrete) and ditches his backpack. Clearly he doesn't own a smart phone because he doesn't treat his stuff well. SKULL LICK ALERT AT 2:40!!! The girl and guy find themselves at a door that leads to a private Hessler show. The correct answer is D.

HazardHead, a three-piece rock band from Detroit, have released a video for the song "Love Can't Wait." The jackets in the beginning are way more bad ass than anything in this video. Maybe any video. Ever.

The classic line-up of The Dogs D'amour is back with a brand new video for their recent single "Flameboy." What I like about this video: 1. The overwhelming use of headgear accessories (bandannas, sunglasses, hats, and facial hair); My God! Look at those glasses at :27! 2. The cheesy animations (:37 poker anyone, the 1:41 Hearts, and at 2:12 the wine bottles). 3. 0:57 I see the bandanna over the fedora that matches the tie. Nice job!
