U.K. female-fronted band Neverstar has released a video for "Don’t Call," which can be viewed below.

The clip was produced by Manchester production company Video Ink and was filmed against the backdrop of Pendle Hill in Lancashire, home of the Pendle witches who were famously trialed for witchcraft in 1612. Neverstar comments:

"Don’t Call is an intensely dramatic song, telling a heartfelt story of family dysfunction, suicide and resentment. Originally it was not intended to become a song as Sims felt it was too vivid, but was recorded after guitarist and songwriter Pieter Cronje accidently stumbled upon the lyrics and secretly wrote the music.

"The song comes from the band’s debut album I’ll Be Waiting which was produced by Neil Haynes (Nevaneva, Doctor Fonda, Dead Man’s Crossing) at The Parlour Studios (Napalm Death, Mortad, Evile) in Northampton. The album will be released on April 8.

"Neverstar was formed in 2009 by vocalist Vega Sims and guitarist Pieter Cronje whose music is an intense mix of pounding guitar and cinematic drama. The line-up is completed with Anthony Evans on bass and Leigh Prout on drums."
