The Rockstar Ramblings: More Camouflage Girl!

This week we have videos that mix well with acid, crazy eyes, ninjas, and the band Krokus. Yes, that Krokus.

Eightball Voodoo have released a video for the track "The Devil's Country" off the '666 Reasons' split-single. Craziness starts the video and then we see a girl in a camouflage bikini shaking her ass. Then she’s gone. Where did she go? The video switches back and forth between the band and the police, and then a slow motion bowling ball smashes the TV. My assumption is that this is where we are supposed to drop acid. She (camo girl) is back at 1:28 and then deep breath, again at 1:38. Then again, she disappears. At 3:30 a blond in a black bikini appears. What happened here? Did camo girl get fired mid-video? A sledge hammer smashes another television set. It’s a bad day for TV sets, a bad day for the missing camo girl.

From the self-proclaimed ‘most explosive rock 'n' roll band in history', Suicide Bombers, comes a music video for the single "High on Explosives." The track is from their 2012 album 'Criminal Record.' The video complements the grooving song and I only have one comment: How the fuck does front man Chris Damien Doll make his eyes look like that? That is Stephen King meets a drunken Drew Carey in a dark alley type scary. Awesome Eyes!

The Australian band, De La Cruz, have posted a music video for the single "Cherry Bomb", taken from the upcoming 'Street Level' album. So we’ve got a VHS tape and the lead singer is wearing glasses like the ones worn by Andrew McCarthy in ‘Weekend at Bernies.’ Okay, still watching. Add a Jack Daniels sleeveless tee and Axl Rose slither moves and I’m thoroughly entertained.

Canadian rockers Reverse Grip have just posted their new tour video to the tune "Sold My Soul", off of their debut full-length album 'Hunger For Chaos'. Highlights include the “seen a million faces and rocked them all” starting out of the bus moment at 0:41, the hotel ninja at 0:56, and stripper pole fun at 3:08 (way too good at that move by the way). Watching this video I believe the band had two goals during their tour: first one had something to do with rocking hard and the second had to be to try EVERY BEER FROM EVERY COUNTRY NO MATTER WHAT!

Krokus has been around for 40 years and they are releasing their 17th studio album, ‘Dirty Dynamite’, this month. They also have a new video for the song ‘Dirty Dynamite.’ These guys look like seasoned (read: weathered) rock stars. However, I love that they still follow the “let’s just show a hot girl” video rule. This particular girl is badass and can light 8-balls on fire. That’s hot! She rides a cycle, crowd surfs, and plays the guitar. Her weapon is a Bart Simpson style sling shot and in her spare time she changes route 66 signs to read route 666. This girl belongs in Reno, where she just happens to end up. While she is there she stops at a bar where Krokus is playing. Have you been wondering where Krokus has been hiding? The answer is Reno. I can’t prove it, but I like to think this girl is also camo girl…
