In one of the more random and eccentric metal-themed endorsements in recent history, Prosthetic Records has announced the following:
"Duncan Toys has teamed with heavy metallers Holy Grail to create a limited edition yo-yo featuring the artwork from the band's new album 'Ride The Void,' due out January 22nd. In conjunction, Duncan has revealed a tutorial video featuring Holy Grail guitarist (and yo-yo enthusiast) Alex Lee. The yo-yos will be available at the band's merch table on the upcoming Metal Alliance Tour, as well as through upcoming social media promotions.
"The artwork for 'Ride The Void' was created by the world-renowned concept artist Dylan Cole, best known for his award-winning work on the blockbuster 'Avatar,' as well as major movies including the 'Lord Of The Rings' trilogy, 'Daredevil' and 'Transformers: Dark Of The Moon.' You can pre-order your copy of 'Ride The Void' -- about which Decibel claims, 'You'd have to go back 20 years to find a metal record that achieves this level of instant infectiousness' -- at this location.
"In other Holy Grail news, the band is confirmed to appear on the 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise alongside In Flames, Kreator, Dragonforce and many more. The cruise departs from Miami on January 28th and ventures to the Turks and Caicos Islands before returning on Febuary 1st. Shortly thereafter, the band will head out on the Metal Alliance tour along with Anthrax, Exodus, High On Fire and Municipal Waste, the penultimate performance of which will take place at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival."
Metalunderground.com interviewed Holy Grail frontman James Paul Luna in November 2012, and will also be present on 70,000 Tons Of Metal for more updates.
