Schemata Theory Streaming Full New Album "Dry Lung Rhetoric"

"Dry Lung Rhetoric," the debut album from Reading metal band Schemata Theory has been made available to stream for free via YouTube. Check out the album through the playlist below or over at the band's YouTube page here.

“One of the goals of releasing the album like this,” vocalist Myles Dyer explains, “is to demonstrate a new way of marketing music in these ever-changing digital times. Many bands are constantly criticizing piracy, and how it is killing off the industry. My belief is that it is only killing off those not willing to adapt."

To celebrate the release the band has made available 100 limited edition bundles to buy via the Schemata website. This includes a signed album, limited edition t-shirt, signed insert with a limited number of 1-100, as well as exclusive stickers, badges and plectrums. The album is now available to purchase digitally on Audiosocket, Amazon and iTunes, and can also be streamed for free on Spotify.

“The album's themes communicate acknowledgement of a sleeping world needing to wake up,” explains psychology graduate Myles. “With so much evidently in crisis on this planet, the question that must be asked is 'How much longer can we go on turning a blind eye?'”

Bassist and primary album composer, Carl Quanstrom, had this to say about the type of music you can expect to hear on the album: “'Dry Lung Rhetoric' combines many aspects of the metal genre, drawing equally from traditional heavy metal as well as its modern day counterparts. It fuses classic thrash riffing, technical instrumental passages, passionate vocal performances and soaring choruses, creating something accessible yet original and thought provoking.”

“We’ve been working hard on this album for over 2 years now at the brilliant Stakeout Studios,” lead guitarist Huw Roch defines, “we were especially fortunate to have Chris Clancy from Mutiny Within join us with guest vocals on the final track. We are so excited to have him as part of this production and hopefully working with him when we come to the live shows.”
