Metal Blade Records is pleased to announce that the Grammy Award nominated King Diamond has signed a new 3 album worldwide record deal. King Diamond comments:
"This is gonna be awesome! Another perfect piece of the puzzle. We have the full backup of Metal Blade, and there's an understanding between us that goes much, much deeper than before.
"Our new business setup will noticeably benefit the fans in so many ways. You must have already noticed some of all the cool new stuff that is happening. Now we can't wait to get out there and start touring again!"
Metal Blade also issued the following statement:
"King Diamond is quite possibly the most recognizable and prolific personality ever in heavy metal. Revered by icons as big as Metallica and Pantera to inspiring new upstarts like Goatwhore; King DIamond, the man and the band, have left an indelible mark on the history, and now again, the future of heavy metal.
"In August of 2008, King Diamond joined Metallica on stage at Ozzfest in Dallas to perform the Mercyful Fate medley made famous from the Garage, Inc. album. Additionally, King Diamond was featured alongside Motorhead's Lemmy Kilmister as a playable character in Guitar Hero: Metallica in 2009.
"By 2012, King Diamond was prepared to return to the stage for a select number of shows. The band's triumphant return to the stage were the highlights of both the Hellfest and Sweden Rock festivals in France and Sweden. Fans at these festivals were treated to the largest and most involved stage production in the band's storied history. Horror concepts from multiple albums were used in the décor; fans can rest-assured that this show will only get larger and more impressive at future performances.
"King Diamond's 30+ year musical career is one of the most storied in history of heavy metal, but the tale is not yet over. The most recent release, 2007's Grammy nominated album Give Me Your Soul…Please, stands as one of the most critically-acclaimed albums in an already iconic discography. Future albums will feature entirely new horror stories, concepts, haunting orchestrations, and the band's signature brand of heavy metal from the mind of King Diamond and the talented group of musicians in tow: Andy La Rocque, Mike Wead, Hal Patino, and Matt Thompson. Many more albums, tours, and ventures lay ahead."

Yuck....Kim deserves MUCH better than to serve this fvcking dogsh!t label
I won't give them fvcks a goddamned cent...hell, guess I'll have to actuate my first illegal download when the record comes out, and just mail the King a check eh! Dude'll get a small part of what he's earned that way, no
FVCK Metal Blade...rip off motherfvckin CVNTS :)
metal blade treats there bands like sh**... i know for a fact. look at allegaeon that band is incredible and has the talent to tour and be well known by every goddamn metalhead in the world, and yet there opening for I DECLARE WAR and BLOWJOB FOR A COWBOY....
what the fvck
Not sure what more a label can do than get a band's CD out there distribution wise in a day and age that physical copies of music sell less and less. I guess King could have inked with Profound Lore or something, but he probably took a deal that was best for him. Btw, Allegaeon do indeed kick a$$! Wouldn't mind seeing them. Fellow Coloradans Cephalic Carnage are also on that bill.
I don't have the insider info on MB, hell rat. But there's limited amount of labels that cater to metal nowadays, ya know? King probably had offers from Nuclear Blast, Century Media, etc. who knows. I do know that MB have pumped out tons of metal releases in the last five years, some great, some not so great.
I hear ya buddy, limited horizons and shady brokers...I do not envy current Metal Artist's predicament these days
Two best choices I've made thus far, profession-wise...getting the fvck out of pro sport, and making the shrewd decision not to pursue music as a career
NP---Death is the Hunter---The Crown...another great band that Sh!tblade fvcked hard and long
I own four The Crown albums thanks too you hell rat. Just an a$$ kicking band! And rumor has it, they are recording. But as far as King goes, if I was in his shoes, I would self release the album. King really doesn't need a label for anything but distro. His name and rep alone gets him tours. I know one person who desperately wants to see him live... Me!
Dude, a couple of months ago I scored a used copy of The Crowns "Eternal Death" album. And a used copy of Forbidden's "Twisted into Form"! 7$ a piece! Man was I happy! But that's awesome about the guitar man, can't wait to hear new stuff from the Crown! And hell, I need to see them live also!
^Oh REALLY? doh! who coulda ever known?? Say, is there anything ELSE that I 'seem to have forgotten?' ....LOL ;)
Perhaps I should hve clarified for the mouthy idiot masses?
"I will never commend Bendix decision to REsign with the fvcking WORST"
Got that now, Yapper?
Who the fvck knows, Sh!tblade is infamous for paying tribute to their 'Diamonds' with the hard earded duckets earned by all the churl bands stupid enough to hire on with them
NP---Antichrist---Show No Mercy
Yeppers Johnny, finally on vacation for sure buddy...bout time ya know?
And a little R&R is always a pleasure when I got a little snatch like you feathering my nuts everytime I bark...eh now Ballgame?
hell, I should prolly cut ya a check eh? or do you just happily stroke 'other' packages for your own distinct pleasure? you do seem to PRETEND that ya like it rough...say, should we have Happy Time now? I might got a couple minutes :)
nah brother, they're most all the same idiot...johnny, birdscat, anonymous, whatever the fvckin internet hero wants to call itself...
I call it a CVNT, and find the desperate reject mildly entertaining ;0
ya know...what's its story, where the fvck's it from? and was it always as fvcking absurd as its ill hatched efforts of late, or should such examples be dismissed as infrequent bouts of premature ejaculation due to the overzealous excitment aroused during unsupervised and unhelmeted interwebz interaction??
Tough business I guess
jesus frikken christ... just come in from sortin onery yearling bucking bulls, some of which display quite a bit more craft and indivuality than yer snatch a$$ will EVER possess, and THIS is all ya got? :)
pppfffffttt...say, are you of the frothing bulldog breed? complete with the 'special' underbite and the flapping jowls perhaps?
Like i asked before, CVNT, whats yer haggard tale?
doh! better head down to the village library to git yerself a new address so you can back yer snivelling a$$ up in the pitiful "argument" you freely admit contesting under different guises here...i dont give a fvck what faceless dribbling identity you choose to use (hell, why not invent yet another one?), ALL you blithering internet CVNTS are the same to me
Got that, DULL witted twat(s)? :)
