Albany's Capital News 9 has posted a two-minute video report from this weekend's Aggressive Music Festival, which featured performances from a number of national heavy metal bands, including Slayer, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Chimaira, Superjoint Ritual, Shadows Fall, Hatebreed and Life Of Agony. Watch the video here.

Around 4,000 music fans from the Capital Region and as far away as California packed the Glens Falls Civic Center for the festival, which was organized in part by Hatebreed singer Jamey Jasta. Back in May, a group of local people went around getting residents in the Glens Falls area to sign petitions (watch video here) against the concert due to some of the groups' questionable lyrics. But organizers, bands and fans said there's nothing wrong with this type of music.

Promoter Ted Etoll said, "They took one little isolated lyrical content and made everybody here to look like demons, which they aren't."

Mark Wellington of Queensbury said, "You know a lot of people were shaky about having guys like us come up here and have a festival, but overall it's just fans coming to listen to good music."

i think that dumb b**** needs to be smacked in the face. if she doesn't like it she just doesn't have to go to it. it's that simple even that guy said the same thing. she needs to get a life. and if she new what disasterpiece was about she would know it's not about killing some one it's about a guy going threw a mental break down. those people are stupid or something. they blame music just because some psycho goes killing themself. that's pretty dumb those people are crazy in the first place. come on you smelly b****(in the video footage) you really think people kill themselves if they listen to lets say marlyn manson or icp(insane clown posse). i'll repeat myself if you don't like the music, just don't listen to the music. obviously your a dumb smelly b**** for not thinking of that.
b****...b****...ba ba ba ba ba b**** b**** b**** b****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ICP is the sh**.But I think my hater was refering to their lyrics which have been criticized for Columbine and a recent suicide. But anyway,I'll say this,a guy that kills with John Denver in his cd player never makes headlines. The guy that kills with Slipknot in his cd player causes an uproar amoung parents. Its not abou the music, its about how crazy the person was.The Greeks used to behead eachother back in the ancient days, they didnt have hatefull lyrics in their music.

Yeah Wally, maybe. But you missed the point I was trying to make.Lets look at the times before there was violent themes in music and t.v. and such. There was opression,,genocides, wars, slavery, people were barbarack back then. They used to entertain themselves by watching people get mauled by bears in ancient Greek times. They sure as f*** didnt have violent lyrics in their music.Music has no influence in this kind of sh** whatsoever. In fact I think that the violent exposure on t.v.and music have only taught us to not be that way because it is potrayed as being horrible.Ok Im done with my history 101 class.
