The Dillinger Escape Plan's Ben Weinman Announces New Album
Metal Injection recently had the chance to speak with Ben Weinman, guitarist of The Dillinger Escape Plan, at Backroom Studios as part of the newest edition "The FiX." Metal Injection correspondent Frank Godla asked Ben about all his current projects and got an update on what's on Ben's schedule.
On Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, his project with Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds and Jane's Addiction bassist Eric Avery:
"We're pretty much half done. Brent from Mastodon is going on tour in November/December. I'll be in the studio with Dillinger in November/December. Eric Avery will be finishing up touring with Garbage in December. So I think that probably January/February we're going to finish up."
On heading into the studio with The Dillinger Escape Plan:
"We're looking around April for a new release. I've been working on pre-production and demoing stuff everyday. We're going in starting November 5th to start the new record. A lot of migraines trying to figure this out."
