i just have to use this oppotunity to do an album reveiw on 'The end of heartache' by Killswitch engage. I got this album about a week ago and it's already my favorite album of all time and i think if you ain't got it you should go get it....read my reveiw and see what you think of the album......Howards new vocals make the band so much better in my opinion, the new sort of struggling scream as i call it is really great unless your a fan of the older KsE...the bass is louder on this album...the drumming in my opinion is more impressive over all the album rules go get it...
the new line up of KsE IS...
mIke D'antonio = bass
Justin Foley = Drums
Adam Dutkiewicz = Guitar/vocals and additional percussion
Howard Jones = Vocals
Joel Stroetzel = lead guitar
Track 1: A bid farewell
This song is pure genius. it starts off with nice drumming and a bit of light guitaring (sounds really great) then it picks up with a really fast and beautiful riff ( 1minute 4 secs) which leads to the chorus " i will bid farewell to all lies"
5/5
Track 2: very great song, very heavy and at about 30secs into it there is a really nice riff..the chorus is really great "open your eyes, see the divine" and near the end of the song is a really great peice of guitaring, really simple but really great.
4.5/5
Track 3: When darkness falls
very heavy start. great pre chorus which leads to an amazing chorus "when darkness falls, we are reborn" nearer the end there is some really great guitaring.
5/5
Track 4: Rose of sharyn
i'm sure you've all heard this song at some point.. it's amazing!!
5/5
Track 5: Inhale
A beautiful song. no vocals in this song. instrmental. but is the perfect lead up to the next song
3/5
Track 6: Breathe life
This is by far my favorite song on the album..starts with pick scrapingand fast drumming into a f***ing great riff, the chorus is great "breathe life, for you are not alone" and after the first chorus is a not amazing but nice guitar solo....and it's great hearing a solo from the Killswicth.
5/5
Track 7: The end of heartache
This song isn't as heavy as the others but it's great never the less. the vocals are outstanding in this song. and there are song nice guitaring. also i hear some nice faint bass too.
4/5
Track 8: Declaration
In my view this is the heaviest song on the album...nice fast drumming, bravo with the double bass peddle. really fast guitaring hand movement. theres not really a proper chorus in this song.over all a great song.
5/5
Track 9: World ablaze
i don't like this song much, it's just a bit sh** until the chorus which is great....a guitar riff in it sounds like a riff from Lamb of gods 'as the palaces burn' album i think 'boot scraper' is the name of it.
3/5
Track 10: And embers rise
another instrumental song, not as nice as 'inhale' but it's a nice end to 'world ablaze'
and leads well into the next song.
2/5
Track 11: Wasted sacrifice
this song is really good, i love everything about it especially the guitaring at 30secs of the song. alot of the new screaming in this song.....really fast drummin, nice bass..
5/5
Track 12: Hope is...
This song is good but it's not like the style of the rest of the album...heavy but sounds more like there older stuff...good thing or bad thing??
4/5
This album is great...go buy it.....NOW!!!!!

you're f**king right VniXteR. I bought vol. one of headbanger's ball and that s**t was edited. track nine on the first cd cut out the mf and the s word. that f**king sucks. other than that the cd kicked @$$. it would be off the chains if only it wasn't edited. but i know why because that cd came from MTV and f**king MTV abuses anything they see. so f**k MTV and LONG LIVE MUSIC CHOICE!!!!!!!!

Dark Tranquilty is f***in (sic). Sorry I use that Slipknot term for all things that are great. As for Vic's comment, Every Time I Die is a great band. They are even better live cuz they are hilarious and really get you into the show.
As for the KoRn hating trend, I've been noticing that ever since here to stay leaked on the internet. I mean to each their own, but aside from doing a song with Nas, Ice Cube, and that guy from Pharcyde, since when has KoRn gone "gangsta" as brandedcfh420 puts it. I mean the song with Nas and Ice Cube, aside from it being rapped lyrically it was basically put to KoRn's music. The song with guy from Pharcyde, I don't know his name nor do I care, that was the closest thing to a KoRn rap song but then again Follow The Leader was one of their more experimental albums, personally.
Yeah the band has their hip hop influences and Fieldy put out his solo cd that doesn't mean that KoRn has turned into a rap group. I agree KoRn will prob never sound as good as they did in their prime, but they've still got what it takes to make it as musicians. And I also know, there are several bands that are way heavier than KoRn and I love those bands as well but I just can't tell what it is exactly that everyone hates about them now. I've followed KoRn since 95 and I've noticed a change in the music yes but I haven't found anything wrong with that change.

N6x6981,
The reason i say that is due to reading and watching korn interviews.....the way they talked, acted, dressed, and overall tried to be...gangsta wannabes....my opinion...to each their own...nothing wrong with changing music..i agree..but dont sit around and try to be all gangstafied with your attitude....

i swear some people on this site should be put out of their misery because jesus christ if you like korn and then make fun of any band let alone H.I.M you should be put to death via blunt force castration. and for the record f*** face have you ever heard of doom metal. kinda similar i mean my dying bride talk about love all the time. and so do cannibal corpse although they love to give corpses facials but im not here to judge. f*** you ryan

H.I.M. is great, so is KSE, the whole cd is good, to each his own on how good
what is what.
TO: why, why
and there is no way in hell that you are going to stop me wearing black . Why, Why!!!
nor am i going to listen to britney spears. i don't care if you think i'm goth, you don't
know me, i'm goth, but you have never met me so why do you think that??

Its just good to see REAL metal on the f***in cd's (except for kittie they suck) Im happy for no more Deftones, and sh** like that, they suck.
I liked other bands on the first but they didnt belong (manson, sevendust etc..)
Korn doesnt belong, nor does Drowning or APc but i like them both. A7X SUXX MADLY
BEst bands ever - Lamb of God, Shadows Fall.

Did you guys see that COF is headling the Headbangers Ball tour?
I like HIM im a little older than most of you guys and HIM reminds me
of bands like Souixie and The Banshees, Cure and Bauhaus. Not
only I listen to extreme metal but I like Punk, Industrial and some of
Goth rock music. I love stuff like Oghr and Frontline Assembly, Lords
of Acid you name it. But I hate Mallrat Punk and gayass Mallrat Nu-metal!!!

To:why,why
Dear Dumbass,
what is your deal? i punched a b**** out the other day for telling me the exact same thing. if i knew who you were i'd kick your ass. that's worse than people from my town cuz they gang up on one person. you are one person against every metal head. dumbass. how did you find this site anywayz? go f*** yourself. i need a joint now. peace and drugz man.

We fall into the spaces blind, the puzzle so unkind
The lotus eaters fly
we watch the random pattern form, insidious and cold
And bloom into the unknown
We take the hand of fate in vain,
and wonder why your will
Seems cruel controlled and illogical
Do words fall on deaf ears, are we just too small?
Please make us understand
Are we your children?
Are we lost?
