Vocalist Rachel Grech Splits With Weeping Silence
Maltese gothic/doom metal act Weeping Silence announced that the band and long time vocalist Rachel Grech have parted ways. The reasons for the split are still unknown, however, the band made the following announcement on its official Facebook Page:
"Sadly we announce that Rachel Grech, our female-vocalist for the past decade, & Weeping Silence have parted ways. An unforgettable & particularly rewarding chapter in the band’s story has come to a close. Rachel has sung on 3 albums, apart from several other achievements made along the way, of which we are extremely proud. Her contribution will never be forgotten! We wish her the best of luck in her continuing music career!
"Weeping Silence has no intention to cancel commitments, & work is at hand to complete the line-up in the near future. We are committed to begin a new chapter in the band’s life & the motivation to do what we do is immense. Weeping Silence & Rachel thank Ravenheart Music & LimeLight Prod, & the fans in particular for the support."
Weeping Silence's latest album is "For the Unsung," which was issued on September 29, 2012 through Ravenheart Music. A video for the song "Love Lies Bleeding" can be seen at this location.
