Vancouver's favorite gathering of medieval nerds returns as Aesir Promotions is proud to present "NerdFest: A Night of Medieval Fantasy" at The Biltmore Cabaret on Friday, November 23rd.

Celebrating its second year with a variety of local artists, Nerdfest will showcase live music from local headlining folk metal band Scythia, which recently released new EP "For The Bear" and will be wrapping up a cross Canada tour at the event along with support from The Whiskey Dicks and The Carnival Band.

Dave Khan, Scythia's vocalist and guitarist comments: "We are pleased to be awarded the opportunity to play at such an awesome convention once again. Nerdfest II is a great opportunity to share Scythia's unique blend of storytelling, theatrics and metal with a diversified audience. We can't wait to be at home among our fellow costumed enthusiasts and vendors of Medieval wares."

In addition to the musical spoils, there will be stage performances by the hypnotic belly dancer Mahsafoun, burlesque by the villainous and voluptuous vixen Precious Metal, fire dancing by Vespor Sephony, along with a special demonstration of weapon arts by Western martial arts school Academie Duello and Vancouver Traditional Martial Arts Academy.

"It'll be a very exciting night for nerds of all types! With a variety show of epic proportions that will include music, sword fighting, burlesque, belly dancing, plus a medieval dating game and a costume contest complete with fantastic prizes. This night of medieval fantasy is not to be missed! So join us!" comments Aesir Promotions founder and Nerdfest organizer Morgan Zentner.
