Witch Mountain Offering New Single "Bloodhound" As Free Download

Witch Mountain has announced the release of a single, "Bloodhound," along with a rerecording of the track "A Power Greater." The release is now available as a free digital download through Scion A/V here or in the player below, and will be made into a limited run of 7" vinyl, which the band will be selling on tour. The following press release was also issued about the tracks:

"Hot on the heels of 2011’s critically acclaimed album South of Salem and 2012’s career-making Cauldron of the Wild, comes Witch Mountain’s latest single, 'Bloodhound.' Penned in eight days and recorded immediately thereafter, the group’s newest tune is a paean against violent authority.

"The b-side features a new recording of the band’s oldest song, 'A Power Greater," which was originally jammed at the very first WM rehearsal way back in July of 1997. Taking inspiration from their 1960s heroes, Witch Mountain ducked into the studio between headlining tours to knock out another fresh slab of doom, buoyed by nods from NPR and SPIN magazine, as well as an appearance on this year’s Scion Rock Fest."

A recent interview with the band can also be viewed after the jump.
