Agreed 100%.

Though I enjoyed them overall, I was a bit let down by the last two albums. I felt the band was spinning wheels in some places and cutting down on dynamic song structure opportunities, urgency and heaviness that marks their best works: 'Songs of Darkness Words of Light', 'The Dreadful Hours', 'Turn Loose the Swans' and 'The Angel and the Dark River'. That said they've never made an absolute bomb either...

If "Barghest" and "Doomsday" are any indication, fans are in for something great.
