Monster Energy and Idol Roc Entertainment have announced the line-up for the 2012 Monster Energy Outbreak Tour. Headliner Asking Alexandria will be joined by support acts As I Lay Dying, Suicide Silence, Memphis May Fire, and Attila. The full itinerary for the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour will be announced September 7th.
The line-up prompted tour producer Steve Glazer (Idol Roc Entertainment) to share, "Without question this is the strongest lineup we've assembled for Outbreak to date. Each year we promise to grow our brand and it all starts with delivering the fans an undeniable lineup of artists on the rise paired with an affordable ticket price."
Asking Alexandria guitarist Ben Bruce stated, "America, we are back, we are excited, we are ready and we are fucking headlining! This is our biggest headlining tour ever and we are bringing with us, the biggest, heaviest and best bands that rock has to offer. This Monster Energy Outbreak Tour is going to be fucking insane, more so especially due to the fact that this is not only going to be our last tour of the year and our last tour in America for quite awhile, but also because this is going to be the last tour on the Reckless and Relentless album cycle.
"We will be playing songs from Stand Up and Scream, Reckless and Relentless and a handful of brand new songs from our upcoming album. You, North America, have been chosen to hear our new songs before anyone else in the world. Let's make this a tour to fucking remember. Lets end 2012 bigger, better and harder than anywhere else on this earth. We can't wait to see you all. If 2012 really is the end of the world, then all I can say is....we are going out with a bang motherfuckers! We will see you all soon.”
Asking Alexandria will enter the studio in October prior to the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour to place the finishing touches on a third full-length effort. The disc is set for an early 2013 release.

worst line up of all time? I think yes.
on another note. when can metalunderground stop reporting of terrible bands and tours that happen to come up in the news. it gets hard to ignore them and makes other sites favorable to go to because they know the difference between REAL metal stories and not.
So we have one guy that looks like he has Grateful Dead on repeat everyday and another guy, who thinks he knows everything about "Metal", that probably has a tattoo that says "Yes Zakk, I'm Wylde". This site is called Metal Underground, which therefore sponsors and discusses all metal and their sub-genres. Move on if you don't like the line-up. I think the line-up is an awesome combination of metal / thrash / core bands.
me claiming to know everything in metal? believe not. just an opinion based off the story that was posted, I'm one who doesn't care to know when AA goes on tour with AILD, but. i do believe this site does its best to cover every metal story out there regardless of the sub genre and i respect them for it, i just get frustrated seeing sh!tty stories that i don't really care for. everyones entitled to there own fan fair, and views.
Hi,I agree also horrible lineup but..its a metal site like others have said its NOT on just certain bands wake up..its on all kinds of metal but..it can be a pain to just read on certain bands. Also keep in mind if there touring more in some cases as lest there possibly making money unlike some bands that you hear complain. I'm more into the heavy side in alot of ways but..do like Otep,Jungle Rot,Kittie,Gwar in my words these bands are ALL weak but..like them still.
As I Lay Dying is a pretty credible band and puts on a great show, but I couldn't care about the rest.
silvermountains, sorry to hear it's annoying you. What other news sites post less of these bands? I'm just curious because I know some members moved on to other sites who cover bands they like more. n0thinghead is one such member and he commented on Facebook how he liked this tour... I've got some ideas for the future to help change what gets attention though (short of just not posting on it).
I haven't drastically changed to another site, don't worry man, I'm faithful to the underground, I think metalsucks does a solid job taking the stories I know MOST (not all but most) metal fans don't care to hear about and post the stories we do care to hear about. I'm not tripping on anything, it was just an outburst of funny "waaaait whaaat whhhy?"
you can't regulate what news gets posted based on the individual opinions of what is "terrible" or "great" or whatever. that's just futile.
just keep doing what you are doing, posting of bands of all kinds, any genre, as long as they appear legitimate with albums and/or tours to show for themselves, decent fan presence, etce. that's the best standard you can aim for.
Metal Sucks works the humor angle well,i check them out regularly. As far as this tour,no thanks. AILD are the one band on the tour i do like, have payed to see as a headliner. The other bands im not into. Its odd that a crap tour genertes all these comments, but when Dismember calls it a career, only a handful of people comment. Or when thiers news of a great band like The Crown recording a new album;only a couple of comments. This Asking Alexandria sh*t is pretty popular,it is what it is.
I think i am way too old to give a crap about any of the bands on this tour. However, MU reporting this doesn't make the site less grim/kvlt/troo/brootal. They report on pretty much every band, even the ones that don't appeal to a certain demographic.(old, bald , fat married guys with kids who like slayer/motorhead/thrash and old punk and hardcore)
Well I think this is proof positive that it drives discussion, hence clicks and ad revenue. Would you rather just not have anything to click on? Or no site to attend?
If you took away people b****ing about things not being metal enough, and people whining about how they want the bands they don't like to die, then who would still be commenting?
Check the threads where people are saying "Hey, this is cool!" You'll see maybe 10 posts at best. Kinda sad, really...
For that, I commend you guys. There's far too much opinion finding its way into news reports these days. It's nice to see some people still stand up for journalistic integrity.
It's a good reason for why I've been sticking around here for all these years. That, and the lack of being bombarded with flashy ads and images. KISS method all the way.
