The Rockstar Ramblings: Lust, Glitter, and God

This week a start on the darker side with the Lust Boys followed by a Brazilian Christian band and then back to the sleaze with Glitter Magic. That’s right we are starting with drinking, finding God, and then back to drinking. It’s the circle of life, or the life of a spiritual alcoholic.

Canadian sleaze rockers Lust Boys have released a music video for their new single "Hard On Love.” The Katie Day O'Neil produced video was filmed on July 6th 2012 at three different venues (Studio 37, The Distillery and Below Deck) on the opening night of the Calgary Stampede in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The song "Hard On Love" can be found on the Lust Boys' 2012 full-length album 'Short Skirts And Tall Glasses.’

The start of the video looks like it is sponsored by Jack Daniels. Good tune if you don’t follow along with the vocalist – either this video is very out of sync or it’s time for a new computer. Burning question: what’s the deal with Canadian bands and their use of the cow bell?

The Brazilian hard rock trio known as Crossrock have recorded their first official music video for the ballad "When Love Goes Away", produced and directed by Adriano Gomez. "When Love Goes Away" will appear on the Christian metal band's debut album 'C'Mon Baby', which is slated for release in late November.

Okay, it’s time to slow it down a little. Crossrock brings back the essence of 80’s hard rock ballads, musically and visually, but with a twist of God. I am trying to resist…must resist…

I can’t resist…Ladies and Gentlemen it’s a flashback to Stryper and “To Hell With the Devil.”

Okay, let’s bring it back down to the gutter. Brazilian rock band Glitter Magic have released their first ever music video, for the title track from their new album 'Bad For Health.’

Always a good idea to drink pints by yourself in a bar; however, drinking pints by yourself in a bar where women draped in black leather hang out…bad idea. Add in gambling…another bad idea, coupled with pints and leather and this is not going to end well. BONUS PROMOTION CLIP: The use of Glitter Magic deck of cards. Uh, oh, walking alone drunk after winning big? Always end up getting jacked. Always. Let’s recap: Never drink pints and gamble around women in tight leather and definitely don’t get drunk and think you are getting out alive, or you will end up in a body bag. Always. The More You Know…
