SupreMa Posts New Music Video And Explanation For "Nightmare"

Brazilian power metal band SupreMa posted up the new music video for "Nightmare." The song appears on the band's latest LP "Traumatic Scenes." For the video, the band used surrealistic art, in particular the influences of three masterpieces of Belgian artist René Magritte ("The Therapist", 1941; "Not to be Reproduced", 1937; and, "The Lovers", 1928).

Guitarist and songwriter Douglas Jen commented on the video:

"René Magritte is a genius! Every work you can travel inside of obscure and distant seas, and It's very interesting how every people travel in a totaly opposite direction by his work, it's really amazing! The "Traumatic Scenes" album brings a lot of traces and surrealistic symbols, and the lyrics has metaphors and can be understood by several forms by every listener. The idea of reproduce some Magritte arts comes to meet to 'Nightmare' lyric. When you dream, usually appears impossible situations, strange places, nonexistent creatures, and when you travel inside the Magritte works, is where you will really feel ... inside of a dream or nightmare. The best moment of this video, happens when the actress inside her nightmare could see her pictures inside the cage, as if she was trapped inside of 'The Therapist' work."
