Anuryzm Posts Guitar Tutorial Video For "Wide Awake"

Dubai based metallers Anuryzm have released a guitar tutorial video for their track "Wide Awake," which is taken from the debut album, "Worm's Eye View." View the tutorial video below. Comments guitarist John Bakhos:

"As a band we place the focus of our songwriting on strong guitar-led tracks. Our influences include guitar legends such as Dimebag Darrell, Slash, Rudolf Schenker, Jimi Hendrix, Marty Friedman, John Petrucci, Alex Lifeson, Brian May and Mark Tremonti. These are musicians that have revolutionised the way that the guitar is played and have used their skills to create music that withstands the test of time. As a band, we try to create music with this mindset."

The band also recently released a promotional video for the track "Breaking the Ballot," which can be viewed here. Anuryzm's debut album "Worm's Eye View" was released by Melodic Revolution Records on July 17th. Featuring guest appearances from Martin Lopez (Soen, Opeth, Amon Amarth), jazz bassist Rami Lakkis, and synth player Uri Dijk (Textures, Ethereal), the album was produced by John Bakhos & Miltiadis Kyvernitis at MNK studios and mixed and mastered by Miltiadis Kyvernitis. Digging this band. Lopez can do no wrong. It's good to see him back in the saddle with this and Soen.
The clean vocals sound like a power metal version of Jessie Leach to my ears, while the growling vocals have a midrange presence and bear a passing resemblance to Mastodon.
The guitarwork and song craft are really impressive as well. A great well rounded effort and I look forward to picking up this release.
